Ryan Scott HATES the WIAC, again! LOL 😂 😆  8-)  :-X  :P

Really hard to predict.... because of all the carnage. The safer picks are the teams who have breezes through.

Unless we're talking about IWU, who lost at home to Stout...

13 minutes left and down 13, Heather wonders if Uttech would have helped the Pointers be more competitive.  I think they will come back but she is objective in all this.

Pathetic job on the boards and refusing to get out and guard Johnson past the 3 point line does the Pointers in.  Jekyll and Hyde team ever since Krohn went down and refused to show up in their biggest games of the season.

Definitely Jekyll and Hyde. Unfortunately. What could've been with Krohn. No excuses though. Gotta be better next year.

Two real tough games today for our remaining WIAC teams. La Crosse hosts CMS with a team full of scorers. This will be a fun game to watch.

Whitewater takes on host Wash U. They were down there early this year, but did not play each other. The Bears were a Final Four team last year and look to return there.

I like the WIAC team chances in both games.

LaCrosse is so Grieger centric on offense that if he is off, or stopped, they are done. He might not be stopped.  Is WW and Madson the same issue?

Both LX and Whitewater play good perimeter defense, Point did not do it well.

Platteville dribbles and passes until the last seconds in the shot clock before Love or Lewis chuck up some long range 3, often making them.  Risky. They need a stronger post player to mix this up.

Oshkosh fans have to be wondering, how did SP and PV beat us? If Brandon Beck heals they could be really good in 2026. Their offense sputtered after they lost him to season ending injury late in the PV game. Thought they'd battle Point for the title but alas.

Will be interesting to see how Wash U and Whitewater match up. Coach Juckem has been gone from the WIAC for like 7 years so I suspect he has only a modest advantage.  Makes me feel old as I was like 18 when he last coached Oshkosh in the Final 4.

Off to the marina to catch some monster fish with Heather and her dad.

Good luck to LaCrosse and Whitewater the rest of the way!  Hopefully they can represent the WIAC well.
Platteville....ugh, disappointing season.  IMO, I felt they underachieved this season.  They had some good returning talent on this team but did not play to their level away from home.  Only solace this season is they won every conference home game.  Another year of losing a lot, very little returning production next season outside of Bristol Lewis.  REALLY will need some impact freshman or impact transfers.

I don't know how high the expectations were, but they lost a lot from the 2024-25 team. I think their results were pretty good, all things considered.

Not sure how a coach retains an advantage over another league 8 years after departing, though in this case, one could call a very close friend who went 2-2 against their opponent over the past two seasons.  Other than that...

Juckem's knowledge of the WIAC from 8 years ago pays off as Wash U holds off Whitewater 74-71. La Crosse advances as the only WIAC team still standing.
