I chatted with JT Gritzmacher and a number of other Division III coaches about the new state of D-III and how the portal affects how they recruit and such.

Everyone with eligibility left on UWSP's roster this past season will be back except for Nick Fox and Austin Schaumburg.  That leaves their roster at 20, but they still need to add some size to this incoming recruiting class.

My worry would still be in the frontcourt with Krohn being an unknown on if he can get back to pre-injury form.  Can you rely on Manz until Krohn is healthy enough?  What does Grganto give you?  I have some high hopes for Grganto considering his high school teammate played significant minutes at La Crosse as a freshman and Grganto was more of the go to guy in high school than Crowley was.

With this much returning experience, and as experience leaving the conference, I expect a conference title and a solid run in the NCAA tourney for the Pointers.  They have been talking about banner number 30 in the Quandt for what seems like forever, they need to go get it.

After 2014-2015 and outside of 2017-2018 when they went 11-3 and made the Sweet 16, how realistic has that 30th banner been? Point has had two 8-6 conference records and a bunch of 7-7 seasons. I really thought they had a chance this season.

It seems like D3 has become the minor leagues of D1 and D2.

Who will handle the inbound transfer portal opportunities there?

Not many needs but I would have thought a few WIAC players would have left Point, and Oshkosh would be a logical spot, especially since they've loaded up the NIL truck.

Any ideas on logical Oshkosh coaching hires, post them here.
