3sdown,

You just gave Scottie some posting fuel.  Now we are going to have to read his thesis on LC's future wins.

Is there a word limit on each post?

Scottie-

LC doesn't charge admission to the games?  Oh, I forgot you have to win in order to have people at the games to charge admission...Sorry, I had a brain lapse.

Well, if we define "future" as this season, perhaps the posts will be mercifully brief.  If we leave it open-ended, however, we may hear Nostradamus-like predictions of Scottie's progeny and the Hornets winning the NCAA DIII title - Scottie, Jr. around 2035 and little Scottie III in, oh, say 2062.  :)

Will this be Scottie Jr, the player or manager?

How many Overall, Mens, or Womens Commissioner Cups has randolph macon won? If I remember correctly, not as much as LC. Also, who is dominating the overall ODAC Championships total? Last tiem I checked, it was W&L and LC, and Macon's total doesn't even compete with them two. LC has 121 overall odac titles, macon only has a measly 31. LC has 80 mens titles, macon a measly 13. LC has 41 womens titles, macon only has a measly 18. None of our teams charge for games, regardless of how many ganes they win. Macon can't even begin to comete with the success of LC athletics. Come talk to me about winning when Macon gets on LC's level in athletics. Until then, don't even try because you'll never be able to win the argument. Take that, son!

--E&H has better managers than Lynchburg.  Advantage Wasps.   :D
Psh! E&H wishes they had a manager as good as me!  I just simply produce! :P

Why did you decide to change your final zinger, scottie?  I thought "Take that, son" was much better.  Why not put it back?

I obliged to your "request," hope you're happy now! :)

Scottie-

Great. LC excels at everything, but basketball.  That makes you look even better!  Besides, isn't this a MEN'S BASKETBALL posting page?  I occassionaly forget which board I post on, but I think this one is a BASKETBALL page?  Pat Coleman, where are you?  Can you help me on this one?

I didn't know we discussed track and field, cross country, ping-pong, swimming, etc. on here...I guess I am an uninformed poster though!  Anyway, I think RMC dominated LC in ultimate frisbee, hide and seek, kick the can, and other children games over the past 5 years?  I will have to look into my archives of statistics.  Oh yeah we took you in club ice skating as well.  Wansley and the boys practice hard for that during the off season.  Boy was that fun freezing the pool in the Brock Center in Ashland!  I almost forgot, we took you in synchronized swimming as well.  Damn, Coach Rhoades and his assistant, Jamal Brunt, were excellent synchronized swimmers last year.  The event last year was heated and I couldn't believe it, but LC charged admission!  And our cheerleaders (if we have them?) are better than yours!  And I heard Macon's book club (you know the nerds that never drink or party, nor come to the basketball games, at least at Macon) was a lot better than the one at LC!  It is a shame that the ODAC doesn't count those activities to the Commissioner's Cup.

Can't you just admit defeat and that someone got you?  Oh, no I forgot you haven't learned yet?  You would rather change the topic from basketball to all ODAC sports.  God, you are so smart.  I am in awe of the next genius of this world!

And you have never discussed anything aside from basketball? Don't act stupid. Most of the regular posters here on the ODAC board have discussed stuff other than basketball. Don't give me that dumb crap.

Maybe you can learn how to read? I think that would probably would help you some. I said "What revenues from admission? LC games are free for all sports, except ODAC Tournament and NCAA Tournament games" You said "LC doesn't charge admission to the games?  Oh, I forgot you have to win in order to have people at the games to charge admission...Sorry, I had a brain lapse." You said right there all LC teams lose. Bone up one those reading skills a bit there buddy, and maybe do some research before you go insulting a whole athletic department that has shown to be superior to what Macon currently has. Just admit it, LC has superior athletics to that of Macon.  The proof is in the numbers.  ;D

Scottie-

I was talking specifically about basketball in relation to admission to the games.  I wouldn't post on here about other sports b/c (a) I know nothing about other LC sports and (b) this is a basketball page.  See I don't post on a BASKETBALL page to blab about other sports or perhaps the game of cribbage I played this afternoon!  I post about BASKETBALL!

And to answer your question:  NO, I don't post on here about anything but basketball.  See you spend all spring, summer, and fall on here rattling away at your keyboard (isn't it broken yet?  have you had to replace it yet?) about non-sense that has nothing to do with basketball or is pointless...Hence, why you have 5 million posts!

And, since you can't win an argument about basketball, you change the topic to all sports.  Then I gotcha on that one by embarassing you.  So, you got this smart idea to criticize my reading skills.  Is that another change of topic?  Pat Coleman, please stand up?  Is this a reading skills board?  Can we get a link on the front page to the reading skills board so Scottie can post 1 million times over a week period there as well?

Scottie, wrong place to talk about reading skills.  Maybe you should go down to Sylvan Learning Center there in Lynchburg, Va?  I can provide you directions if you need them.  Maybe they will teach you about placing a statement in the context of the larger reading?  Hence, my statement must be placed in the larger context of the discussion...Again, isn't this a basketball page?  (Can you edit this post...Make sure I have my commas in the correct place and have used correct punctuation!  Macon didn't do a good job teaching me grammar.  Damn, another area LC outperforms Macon.)

For the record, I did not insult the whole LC athletic program...Again, this is a Men's Basketball Posting Board?  Not a Commissioner's Cup posting board!  Or for that matter a place to post about chess strategies!  However, I made a post that poked a little fun at you and you got all wound up.  Thus, I was successful in my task b/c you have your panties all in a tizzy at this point probably just waiting to respond to my next post.

I am sure you can get several posts for yourself out of these last few posts I have made...Go ahead lets see if you can top 6 million within the next 24 hours?

Forget Nostradamus.  Now here was a poster that could see into the future!  :)

Scottie - Are you going to be like Prince?  I noticed you changed your handle from "Scottie Too Hottie" to "LC's ODAC Championships > RMC's ODAC Championships."  The "greater than" symbol ">" is a nice touch.  In fact, from a Public Relations point of view, I recommend you just go by ">."  You know, kind of like ">, the poster formerly known as Scottie Too Hottie".  It makes a bold statement!  :)

If you come up with more ideas like that, we may have to replace "hasanova" with "hasabenz".   ;)

Along your line of thinking, I came up another symbol that would fit the artist "scottie, a.k.a. >".  How about the symbol for infinity, the sideways 8?

I had considered traveling to Lynchburg this afternoon to watch the E&H game, but I've decided to stay home and install a toilet in the downstairs bathroom instead.  I'm afraid there might be a violent scene at Turner gym as ">" tries to stop 3sdown from ripping down the ODAC track & field championship banners hanging on the walls.   :)

I have come up with an idea: If i an find the infinity symbol on this character map thing that comes with windows, i will make my moniker on here read "> infinity symbol"!

Update: Found the symbol on character map. I tried to copy and paste it into my account settings and it showed up as > and some number. Apparently account setting doesnt recognize "infinity" To type infinity you can hold down the "Alt" key and press the numbers 2,3,6 on the number pad while holding alt. ∞
