FYI   I was in a fairly serious automobile accident on January 29.  Believe it or not, I was struck in an intersection by a deputy sheriff's car on its way to an emergency call.  Both my vehicle and the squad car were totaled.  The two deputies walked away after their airbags deployed, but I suffered a fracture.  I had surgery on Feb 8 and now have two screws in my left ankle.  It will be a 6-8 week recovery, but I'll ultimately be ok.  Hope to see you guys at the ODAC tournament!

Recover well and quickly! A long while back my wife was struck by a firetruck crossing an intersection without lights or sirens on. Totaled her car but thankfully no major injuries. Worst part was the incessant phone calls from lawyers wanting to represent us since it made the news. Got old telling them we had no interest in suing...

Ouch! Best wishes for quick healing and a complete recovery.
Thanks.  This too shall pass.  C'est la vie.

Glad your wife and firefighters were not hurt badly.  Thanks ... one day at a time, but it will be ok.

On a completely different topic, I have a small beef with RMC, maybe others can help me.  Seems that RMC doesn't archive their game videos or create on demand videos.  So, once the game is over, there is no way to go back and watch the game.  Am I looking in the wrong place or is this actually the case?  Most other schools have archived or on-demand options.  I wish RMC would adopt the Boxcast option, as this allows streaming via TV.  I will add however, that game coverage by Marty and Co. is the best around.  I contend they're one of the best I've heard in DIII.
Well, well, what do you know?  The video from yesterday is still available today!  In the past, the next game would be immediately staged at the conclusion of the current game.  So, I'm assuming the RC game will now be around until the next game starts.  MUCH BETTER!  Not sure if someone saw my previous post or if coincidence?  If so, thanks to whomever changed it.  Greatly appreciated!
Well, I think my praise was premature.  Immediately after SU game, the video was gone and the link points to the next game.

I was worried about GC before and during the game.  GC has always been a tough out for RMC and vise versa.  But, if your top scorer has 2 points and #3 has 5 points, it's a very good win.  I have a different take on the 19th, I think the Jackets will have a better offensive game.  A couple of observations on the Jackets:  Talbert may not be 100% (only 5 points last night).  He wasn't in uniform in the previous game, not sure why.  Additionally, did anyone notice that he didn't play in the CNU loss?  May have made a difference in that game as well.  Also, sometime starter 6-6 soph Ben Cerrato has not participated in a game since December.  I hope he'll be back in the future.

Just noticed that Cerrato is no longer on the roster. His name was still there when you made this post.

Cerrato's last game was 11/28 against CNU.  So, you may be right on grades, if so, I hope he's still at RMC and we'll see him in the fall.  Have fun in the COTU tonight.  I see the game is a sellout, with no public tickets sold, so you're one of the lucky ones.  The last HSC game was close until the end.  Let's hope RMC gets up early and stays there.  Should be an energized crowd.  I wish the camera angle was facing the student side, would be a more interesting video.

That's where we ALWAYS sit!! In what we used to call "Section 33" back in the days when Hal Nunnally would buy the Kappa Sig guys( mostly football players) a keg of "The Bull" before big games to get em "tuned up" and the Kappa Sig House back then was right beside Crenshaw so you can only imagine how crazy it got!!...lol ;) ;) Can't imagine what the consequences would be  if that happened today.... But that was in a different time- plus the drinking age was 18 back then too!
YJ Club is having a reception this evening beforehand with some food and a Few libations but it won't quite be the same....lol.... Yes I'm lucky..... YJ Club donors get first crack at the tickets and I jumped on my two!! Hope it's a good game!! ;D ;) :D GO JACKETS!!

I remember those days, watching the Kappa Sigs slipping in the Crenshaw back door closest to their house, just in time for tip off.  It was often quite the grand entrance.  Looking forward to your onsite analysis of the game.

Another good game tonight is Guilford at Roanoke.  Go Quakers!

Macon

Solid game by RMC last night.  Win by 20 without 3 point shooters (Coble, Morris, and Robertson went 2-11) is a nice win.  HSC will be a tough out going forward, solid sophomore class.  A much better team than 12-10 record.

Sorry Macon I got home late last night and had a busy day at work today! Yes Crenshaw was ROCKING last night and it was a different kind of game!! HSC  has gotten a scrappy side from Coach Kimbrough and ,as usual for our Jackets, when some aren't quite on their game others step up!! Josh Talbert  with a HUGE GAME!! Extremely physical and athletic and played his behind off !! The gym was extremely loud as usual and as we ramped it up so did the Crenshaw crowd!! My son and I sat in the  " Section 33" part of the students.....I don't care about having a seat with a back, give me the student bleacher section ANYTIME! Jackets looked as resilient as ever, alumni were present and loud, and we all had a good time at YJ Club beforehand!
TOUGH TEST at Ragen- Brown with Hasa' s QUAKERS Saturday...we've always had a hard time there and Guilford is LEGIT! Dont know how the rest of the tourney seedlings are shaping up.....time to look!!   HSC is about a year or two from being a solid contender but they have the coaching now to make a run.....maybe even next weekend!! Good Luck to all !!
