Catholic won the next game as well, the one against Roanoke. Catholic's loss was in the Elite 8 to the national champ.
Excuse me Pat My memory isnt what it used to be.  Thats right....I should have looked it up. I know they got beat finally but couldnt remember who beat them

Don't remind me of that. A tough loss in OT when Roanoke was up 19 points in the second half....... :-\

At the conclusion of today's football game the RMC announcers mentioned that the Jackets were scrimmaging at John's Hopkins today. Does anyone have information on how that went?

RMC shot terribly and won by a few points.  Four, maybe?  I tweeted out a link to the live stats, but I don't know if those will have survived anywhere.  Schools don't typically publish those.

^^^ Were you there or just following live stats? If you were there, do you have any other observation to share? And how would an outsider like me (as opposed to an insider like you) know about a scrimmage like this and be able to access live stats?

P.S. Found your "Tweet". Guess you weren't there. And you are right, the stats are no longer accessible.

I saw a tweet from Maryville Coach, Raul Placeres, who was visiting JHU with his daughter, a prospective student.  He mentioned JHU scrimmaging a Top 10 team.  I just went to the sidearm stats page for JHU (since they don't have separate links for each game, but the same one where the data gets replaced each game) and clicked on it.  I got lucky.

Most coaches don't want fans attending exhibitions; I'm not sure why.

I was wondering why my post wasn't showing up over there lol

Congrats to Jabril Robinson for being named to the Preseason All American squad.  I hope to see more ODAC players on the post season team.

Ahead of the official ODAC Preseason Poll, I'll put out my stab at it:

1.  Randolph-Macon:  3 returning all-conference players including Preseason All American Jabril Robinson and 2x 1st team Keishawn Pulley, along with Malcolm Hodges.  A lot of experience on the roster.  Over the last 3 seasons, the Jackets have lost 2 regular season ODAC games.  :o

2.  Roanoke:  plenty of experience coming back from a team that had an excellent NCAA tournament run.  Buoyed by the return of Zach Rosenthal who dropped 61 3's in 23-24 before injury cost him last season.  How much will they miss Joshua McClary?  He was a pretty special player.

3.  Virginia Wesleyan:  another talented and experienced squad.  They were the odd man out last season when it came to the NCAA tournament, so they must be hungry.  Return virtually everyone.

4. Hampden-Sydney:  Senior first team all conf. Shane Fernald and classmate shooter Colin Radcliffe lead the Tigers.  Not as experienced as many of the top 8 ODAC teams, but a talented sophomore class gives them a potentially huge upside.  Do they miss Adam Brazil and his leadership and points or did he show the young guys how it was done?

5.  Lynchburg: didn't lose much from last year - showed what they can do with an ODAC tournament upset on the road at H-SC.

6.  Washington & Lee: always gritty team has some good young players.  Freshman Addison Newkirk will help ROY Amorosi.

7.  Guilford: new coach who favored a real uptempo game at his last school, and piles of new players make this one tough to figure out.

8.  Shenandoah:  this team has roster stability, including all conference guard Dorian Davis.  I might be undervaluing them.

9.  Bridgewater: leading scorer & assists Jordan Cooper transferred to Keene State to be with old coach.  Roster is now filled with transfers.  So ????

10. Randolph: another team loaded with transfers and new players - lost virtually every statistical leader to graduation or transfer.

11. Eastern Mennonite: they picked up a couple of d2 transfers but I don't think they have enough talent to lift them out of the bottom 4.

12.  Averett: to some extent, I'm judging from football here.  The athletic department seems pretty down and their best player, Jamison Graves, transferred to Salisbury.

^^^ Good analysis there. Will be interested to see how it holds up come February.

Nine ODAC teams in action this weekend.

The three that aren't: 1) Roanoke has its first game on Tuesday 11/11; 2) W&L opens on Friday the 14th; 3) Randolph on Saturday the 15th.

I hope my #4 pick is grossly undervalued.  ;D
