Roanoke with a big win at Virginia Wesleyan yesterday 73-64.  Was a 1 point RC lead at half even though RC got up as much as 9 in the 1st half.  In the second half it was a RC 2 point lead with 2 minutes left but RC's defense played huge and only allowed 1 point in the final 2:44 of the game.

As a Roanoke fan it's awesome to get a good win but also scares me as we have not played that well the next game after winning a big game this season. Roanoke plays at Lynchburg on Wednesday.

In other news around the odac yesterday:

EMU with a big upset and knocks off Averett University 61-58

Hampden Sydney gets a good win against Lynchburg 87-81

Randolph Macon destroys Shenandoah 84-42

Guilford wins at Bridgewater in a big way 108-72

Randolph loses at Washington and Lee 65-77

There was a time when I didn't speculate about possible outcomes of games. Looks like it's a practice I should go back to.

I hope the incoming class for H-SC has some studs in it because this has been a pretty uninspiring season for the Tigers. Glad I didn't pay for FloSports or whatever it's called to watch this team.

Well, I did, and I watched the LU game last night after my return from the annual golf trip.  Uninspiring is not a bad description.  20 turnovers, mostly unforced including 6 illegal screens, kept the Hornets in what should have been an easy game.  There are glimpses of a good basketball team but the consistency is not there.  One can only hope for improvement before the ODAC tournament.

If you guys see schedule changes for ODAC schools for this weekend because of the possible storm, can you post them with links here for confirmation? Already have Randolph-Macon.

RMC at VWU in a rare 5 pm start Im assuming to accommodate the ladies game afterwards. I was gonna go but the 5 pm start time prevents that so I guess Ill catch it on FloSports.

How much is FloSports? I've been avoiding paying for it.

$8.99/month for an annual subscription ($107.88) if you pay in advance for a year, or $19.99/month on a month-by-month plan.  Some discounting for .edu email addresses, sometimes schools or conferences will have a special signup link that offers a slight discount as well.  Don't know about the ODAC or schools in the conference.

A FloSports account will let you view all events by those schools that have signed up, not just your own or your conference's.  The quality of broadcast still varies widely from school to school and sometimes within a school from sport to sport.
