I'll still say LC, but that's because I'm a Kentucky fan and I'm not calling the school I went to by the same initials as the University of Louisville while also having red as their primary color, that's sacrilege!

Speaking of LU, a blast from the past from at H-SC is back in Farmville but now at LU - Longwood University. Larry Blunt, who was on Dee Vick's staff for a few years, is now the Associate Head Coach at Longwood, which is led by former Bridgewater player Ronnie Thomas. 

Looks like Blunt is taking over for Tom Palombo who maybe retired? I Googled him and didn't see any news on him leaving Longwood or going elsewhere.

RMC schedule has been posted. First two games are doozies -- vs CNU in Crenshaw and at defending national champ UMW. Then the first ODAC game vs H-SC, followed by at Hood and vs Vassar (at Hood tournament). Later in December in Vegas vs Wabash then either Chicago or Keene State followed by vs Babson and vs Scranton at the Henrico Sports Center. No tournament in Crenshaw this season.

This is probably overall the toughest non-conference schedule the Jackets have had in a long time if most of these opponents are as good this season as their histories and reputations would suggest.

RMC roster is up, 7 freshmen with some much needed size.  All 6 freshmen from last year return. A very strong looking team.  Go Jackets!!

He was injured and did not play his sophomore year, thus the eligibility. 

I believe that Liam's father is President of MSM.  Incidently, MSM was a major rival of RMC basketball in the '70s and '80s.

Well, one freshman is listed as 6'9", one is 6'6", three are 6'4", one at 6'1" and one at 5'10". The only player missing from last season is Ollie Jones, who would be a junior.

I've been told by a pretty reputable source that the 6'9" kid, Andrew Clark is the real deal.

Correct, if memory serves, MSM and RMC were consistent contenders in the DII Mason-Dixon Conference.

Additionally, on Saturday, I thought that I heard from Marty that Amr Areikat was doing graduate work at JHU.  At the time, I assumed that he was inferring that he was playing basketball as well, but he's not listed on the team.  My bad.

Much excitement at H-SC about their new players - there's a bunch of them.  Hopefully we'll have a more physical, better shooting team.

As an aside, my oldest brother is a HOFer at MSM, primarily for tennis but he also played basketball for Jim Phelan.  Apparently he got most of the athletic genes and not much was left for # 6.

I count ten new players, two appearing to be transfers -- one of whom is 6'9" and played at Piedmont last season.

Curious what you mean about "...not much was left for #6". Does #6 reference being the sixth child in a family, or a jersey number, or something else?
