Re: best places to play in the NESCAC.

This list is a little old, as I graduated over 20 years ago, but back then these were my favorite and least favorite places to play as a visiting player (Colby alum so Colby not listed).

Favorite: Bates, Tufts
I loved the Bates gym as a rival player.  Small bandbox with the fans right on top of you.  Not a place I'd want as my home gym, but as a visitor it was great.
Tufts: this was when the court was turned sideways from what it is now. Loved the wooden seats and the scoreboard above the court.

Least favorite: Conn College, Wesleyan
Conn: Generally not a fan of gyms where there's only bleachers/stands on one side.  No atmosphere here.
Wesleyan: this was the old gym, and by all accounts the new one brings a great atmosphere.  The old one was a long walk to the locker room and was just overall kind of odd. Glad they replaced it.

Solid: Williams, Middlebury, Bowdoin

Eh: Trinity, Amherst

Hamilton wasn't in the league and I only played there once but thought it was nice.

All below stats are based on conference games only.

For POY I have 8 Candidates, all have strengths and weaknesses. Surprise is Pohlman to me. Not shooting as well as everyone else but does score it at 12 points/game, but he has over 6 assists and 8 rebounds a game. Can make an argument for any of them right now.
Right now I would say Cuevas, Vetter, Gyimesi and Pohlman should be the top 4

Elias Chin of Amherst is a sophomore, not a first year or rookie. He played on last year's team.

Yes confused that one, meant it to be Neville.

el_jefe_90

It happens! Both are having very nice years regardless! If the NESCAC had an all first year team, Neville would be on my list.

Full disclosure I completely forgot about Conn - they would be easily last.
