Thank you for the info, REHBball.  That's very interesting, kind of odd that we don't go 8 and 8, but the MAC powers that be must know what they're doing.  Just hope we don't have any more defections unless they're for geographic reasons which we could all understand.  Always & forever, GO MAC!!!

Del Val's Moira Donahue had a huge game today as the Aggies downed Manhattanville in their first trip to Kennedy Gym in Purchase.   Our son drove to New York, so we could relax (kind of :)). & enjoy the scenery & seeing the beautiful campus for the first time.  The game Wed. night between the Aggies & FDU should be a good one (we can't make it), but BEST LUCK to the Green team, stay HEALTHY, & we'll see ya all Saturday for the Jimmy V game with Wilkes!  GO DEL VAL!!!

If anyone from Manhattanville is reading these posts, i truly want them to know it was a great feeling as we walked around the campus yesterday to think that the entire Kennedy Family had once walked those paths.

To all Freedom Conference fans.

We are pretty much looking at Freedom Conference games for most of the teams the rest of the way so that means we are getting to the exciting part of the season.  With that being said the DeSales/King's match-up on Wednesday can be followed online at the link below if you can not attend.

Live Stats at this link - http://livestats.internetconsult.com/desales/wbball/

The game will also be featured on TV on tape delay on Wednesday evening at 10:00 pm.  It will air on Service Electric Cable (channel 2 in the Lehigh Valley).

The game at 6 p.m. tonight between Del Val & FDU will have a live stat transmission - Good luck, Aggies!  Sure hope it's a great game - no injuries, & we'll see you all Saturday for the game with Wilkes!

Ouch, DVC goes down to FDU tonight by 28 points - 63 - 35.  Congrats to the FDU squad - their shots were fallin BIG time.   It looks as though King's is going down to DeSales tonight, too, but NOT by 28!  Pick up the pieces Aggies - onward & upward

All i can say is yesterday all i could say was "thank God for wrestling" even tho it isn't a MAC sponsored  sport any longer.  It definitely was NOT a Del Val basketball day!  There are Better days to come - the fans are certainly hoping for that!  Saturday should be fun at James Work with the Jimmy V Cancer Benefit - Hope the weather's great & tons of fans come out!!

Not totally sure how this works, but in today's Morning Call there is a fantastic article on the Division 3 players, specifically on DeSale's men, but certainly applicable to all - gordon.jones@mcall.com - it'll be a three part series.

Very much looking forward to tomorrow's Aggie game with Manhattanville.  It marks the first visit to Doylestown for the Lady Valiants, and it's supposed to be a warm, sunny afternoon for the team and New York fans making their way down to Del Val.  Go Aggies!  i just hope they all enjoy the visit to campus as much as we did to their school last month.  It's great to learn as much as possible about our D3 institutions in the league, especially with our new league configuration.  i will say i DO miss the Scranton & Drew posters, & the excitement that the DVC/Scranton games always generated.

Without Kim Vennera (injury) this afternoon Del Val held on for a Freedom Conference win against a very scrapy Manhattanville team.  Jess Ruvolis came off the Aggie bench with 12 points, & starters Brit Battinieri had a game high 16 pts. & Brooke Ditmar had a whopping 19 rebounds.   Very good game all around for the Aggies!  Apparently, there's a three-way tie for second in the league at this moment.  Us, FDU, & King's.

Uh, that would be "scrappy" :) - sorry, the Valiants are a good team!

Kate: It seems you have your own personal chat room here on the Freedom site since 11 of the past 16 posts originate from the home of DVC's most "rabid" fan. As I'm sure you are aware...Taryn Mellody has been named to D-III Hoops All-Decade First Team. Seeing that must bring back some fond memories of her playing against the
Lady Aggies over the past 4 years...ok, maybe some nightmares. However, since the majority of her points & all-around game came against MAC Freedom teams...I think much is owed to those schools for doing their part in helping her attain this most prestigious of awards. Good luck with your remaining games & hope you & the Aggies get into the conference playoffs this year. As for Scranton's Lady Royals you ask...somewhat of a rebuilding year(it usually takes 2 years to get 5 losses...inclusive of trips to the Final Four) but, still 8-1 in the conference & getting better as the weeks roll on. Thanks for the memories...always enjoyed the trips to DVC & then off to New Hope.

Saratoga, Hello, yes, my thoughts about Taryn & Scranton ran very much the same as yours'.   Just hope that you & all the U of S fans are enjoying your season with your Moravian travel partner.  Del Val is hit hard by injuries this season, but hopefully we will make those MAC Freedom playoffs.  Thanks for remembering those hard fought games - i think Coach Richter is picking up where you guys left off - i think his favorite song might be the Lion King's "I Just Can't Wait to be King".  :)  Good luck to the Lady Royals as well, & especially to Catty player Steph Remington.  Please continue to post once in awhile here, as it is painfully quiet.

At the half, King's ahead by two - their live stats are great!
