Nice win for Del Val tonight beating previously undefeated Marywood 78/64.  Now it's on to Florida for games with University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and Trinity College (Conn.).

Just an observation here, between the start of the Landmark and Facebook, this site is not nearly as active and argumentative as it once was.  I don't even think Scranton's Saratoga posts much on his own site anymore.  Kind of sad - I truly miss getting into it with the Royal's posters, and I do still miss Drew, too.  Merry Christmas to the participants on here and a Happy winning New Year!  We won't see our Aggies until the 18th of Jan. when they play DeSales in Doylestown.

Kate, I agree with you. Also, it's my view that the brand and landscape of MAC basketball has changed in several ways over the last few years. Unfortunately, and sad to say, it doesn't hold my interest as much these days. Perhaps the enthusiasm will return as we get deeper into the season. Like you, I enjoyed and miss Saratoga's insight and comments as well as many of the other informative posters ...At the least, I'm expecting that Bill will keep us tuned-in with FDU's highlights ...

Hello Sp0rtsfan!  Our MAC brand and landscape hasn't changed that much since the departure of Drew, Lycoming and Scranton, has it?  I'm really O.K. With Eastern, Manhattanville and Misericordia.  Selfishly what we miss is that easy drive to Scranton, 80, 380 then 307 into the city.  Unfortunately since we're getting "old", we no longer can hack the drive to see Eastern & Manhattanville.  We still try never to miss a home game in Doylestown.  You're right, when we're in the middle of league play, I'm sure your enthusiasm will perk up!  Looking forward to a fun, healthy season!

Great job, FDU! The ladies won both games in Puerto Rico, defeating Central and Puerto Rico - Bayamon, a DII team (but not sure how good they were yet). 10-0 is a nice start to the year :)

Get back to NJ safe....

Of Course nothing beats being at a game, but since our Aggies are off until Monday's game with Haverford, I'm watching Wilkes/John Jay at the Moravian Winter Tourney.  Franklin & Marshall's video feed can get a person terribly spoiled.  The quality and announcing are top notch!  At  any rate, Go Wilkes and Good Luck to all MAC teams playing this weekend!

kate

O.K., credit where it's due - Stevenson has top notch video and announcing as well.  Great mustang vs Widener game.  Congrats Widener!

Very quiet on the boards this year...here's hoping FDU continues to roll as we get ready for conference play. Put away a determined Baruch squad a few days ago...and it's on to Jersey City tomorrow. Conference play resumes the 15th!

Thanks to d3 hoops the DelVal/DeSales doubleheader this Saturday, the 18th will be on video with I'm hoping Gordon Mann doing the call of the games.  Here's the link:  http://www.ustream.tv/channel/d3hoops-doubleheader.  Would Much rather we see the game live, but this is a great alternative!

Kate,
You'll disappoint Gordon if u don't stop by 2 c him if he's doing the telecast.

A perfect b'ball night last night!  Sixers win & while watching that sat with the laptop and watched the Aggies sweep their women's & men's doubleheader with Wilkes!  B'ball perfection!

kate

Good, solid win today for the Aggies,  DeSales 67/DelVal 70.   We were ahead by as many as 20 in the first half, but in the second Coach Richter & the Lady Bulldogs do what they do and got within two with seconds to go.  The Aggies held on and got the "W"!  Del Val crowd was happy!

kate

If indeed it was Gordon Mann with the call of yesterday's Aggie/DeSales contest, what was your unbiased opinion of the DVC squad?  Was overwhelmed at the half by hunger, so had to have a hotdog, but I was pleased with the entire atmosphere of the game.  Please consider yourself "greeted" if it was you.  :D

kate

Del Val just beat TCNJ 55/53.  It was a rescheduled game, and the Aggies overcame a deficit, can't remember the exact # of points, but THEY WON!  Congrats Ladies!

The Women's & Men's doubleheader, DVC/Manhattanville games scheduled for 6 & 8 pm tomorrow night have been moved to the same times on Thursday at Del Val.
