I think 5 is the lowest I'd go, even before seeing next weeks games, I actually think 4 is more accurate.
It would be Wart vs BU.
Trinity & HSU are close behind, Top 10.
;D

Or even UMHB at 4 after Wartburg beats NCC in the Stagg.  ;D

Reusse had a funny string of tweets about the MHB webcase crew.  (2 of the 3 on the call were great - to be clear!  Though, their stretch internet suffered from a milder form of the same buffering issues that SJU has).

There was a 3rd voice on the call - unclear if he was a sideline guy, or what, but he didn't offer much other than to say "Holdin'!" or "all day!" after a big MHB play.

Kind of like a very un-refined VOJ, but he doesn't do play by play, or true color, but just complains about perceived injustices, while not believing that his team ever commits any of them.

Ice Bear says this was hilarious...and pathetic at the same time. Ice means he's sure the guy is a passionate fan and Ice totally is down with that, all good. Ice Bear says with that being said if he was the CRU AD and heard that ****ing guy on the air, his white haired 1500 pound ass would have sprinted up to that booth faster than Canada's steroid using Ben Johnson and pulled his ****ing ass outta there like it was a low level MMA match and Dana White was watching.

Yeah, I found it entertaining, but agree, it probably shouldn't be happening in that level of D3 athletics.  Being an extreme homer is one thing (VOJ), but adding nothing to the broadcast but "holdin'!" really diminishes the production quality.

I'll repost because the last one dropped my comments.
The 3rd guy was a former Cru football player who has been mic'd up and walking the sideline this year. I haven't heard him on the broadcast, but have walked a number of games with him and he is always animated and loud during the games. He is a great guy and a lot of fun to watch a game with, but definitely a Cru Homer (as am I). He knows a ton about the program (has been around it from the beginning) and about general football knowledge  so he can be a great asset on the sideline, but he probably needs to check the homer vibe when on the call.

Thanks for sharing.  Homer vibe is cool, at least in my opinion, and probably rare to find a home broadcast crew that doesn't tilt that way?  I'm not sure that yelling "Holdin'", or "all day!" qualifies as color commentary, or "broadcasting".  Doesn't add to the production, just takes away from it.  The other two were really good.

Looking forward to seeing how UMHB and NC match up next week!  The UMHB offense on their possession after the 1 play TD drive was incredible...just dominant runs.  If they bring that game north, they'll be in great shape.

Ice Bear says in all seriousness the guy does seem like he would be a very cool/fun/passionate guy and the fact that he is a former player still contributing to the program is awesome. Ice says, just drop the homer stuff on the game call and Ice is sure he'll be an even greater asset to the game commentary. Ice wishes the CRU tons of luck and no injuries moving forward.

I'd just say if he were walking around on the sidelines with his mic not on the air the whole time, that would be fine and nobody would say anything about those comments and excited interjections.

I'm not sure why he had a hot mic. I don't think that has been the case all season, but I haven't listened to any home game radio. I will just say, he's a lot of fun to be around during the game. You for sure know what he's thinking. ;D

He does seem fun!

Thinking back on the game, I think the most impressive drive or performance that stood out to me was the first MHB offensive possession after the 1-play TD drive.  That was the chance for BU's defense to come out and settle things down, and get the ball back to the offense with the lead still in-hand.  Instead, MHB ran the ball with extreme authority and really owned the game at that point.

Post Game Kyle king said that was the best quarter the O-line has played all year, and he hasn't been touched much this season. Crazy part is one of the starting Oline went out for the season in the trinity game. One of those 4 was a back-up who spent most of the year on JV

Don't know if he's out the rest of the season----sounded like dislocated knee cap.  Don't know if he will play next week but his replacement #72 did a heck of job filling in.  Good call by Greg choosing Bethel-----NOT.  UMHB doesn't have the defense they have had in years past but they find a way to get it done.  And to the commenter who said Linfield would kick UMHB's butt if they played because they always beat UMHB at the Catdome-------------NOT.  2017------UMHB 24, Linfield 3 at the CAT dome.  Linfield hasn't beaten UMHB in the last 5 trys---twice in 2016, twice in 2017 and 2021 and the last one in 2021 was a butt whoopin, 49-24
