Then there are the Geoducks of Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA with their mascot, "Speedy the Geoduck".    "Speedy is the symbol of the essence of Evergreen: accessible to all who are willing to dig deep."  Their fight song:  "Go, Geoducks go, through the mud and the sand, let's go. Siphon high, squirt it out, swivel all about, let it all hang out." Go, Geoducks go, stretch your necks when the tide is low, siphon high, Squirt it out, swivel all about, let it all hang out." (words and music by Malcolm Stilson, 1971)

The MWC board hasn't had a post since Sept. 10.  I miss the golden days of Post Patterns where you could smack talk a Roush aficionado all week and then shotgun a few beers with him outside a Pace Arrow in Science Lot 2, all before Kevin McNamara set the NCAA record for most sacks in a game (7.5).

Duff Could fund the trip by selling the second place trophies.
I see D3 has SJU as a disappointment-not out of the ordinary. But I guess who knows if the MIAC was any good this year. Finally, the MWC is still the MWC.

Despite the MWC being what it is, Monmouth demolished everyone except Wartburg, and the Johnnies are 0-1 against respectable teams.  I expect a slug fest, and the Johnnies will lose if they don't come out firing on all cylinders.

Watched some of the clips vs. Wartburg and they do appear better and more physical than the typical MWC champ. Just how much is the question.

I don't know if it was the case in '05 but there's a heavy Florida presence on the roster. The HC now was the DC in 2005.

It will never happen given the apparent anti-football bias of many of the admins in the MIAC, but would allowing bowl participation help the "little 8" work toward raising their game and give their programs a boost?
