Didn't the MIAC used to do a coaches poll? Was wondering what they might have thought about GAC.

GAC is a bit of a sleeper I think. Their OC is returning after a couple years as the OC at Winona. He was the OC at GAC when they upset SJU a few years back and had some All Americans on offense. Him along with the returning QB who is the obvious #3 best QB in the MIAC. Wouldn't be shocked at all if they went 8-2 this year.

GAC dominating Central wasn't something I had on my bingo card. That's good news for the MIAC, Cobbers also with a nice win over NWU. Olaf losing to Loras isn't what I expected, but a really solid win for Novak to start his tenure.

Bethel hosts GAC and then travels to SJU in the next few weeks, some early sorting of the top of the MIAC.

Interesting to watch how NCC does on the road at Wartburg, Walston Hoover isn't an easy place to play. UWL hosts Hardin Simmons on Saturday too.

Oct 10 is NCC vs Wheaton and UWL vs UWW.

Late last week I tried to stir up some discussion on how the MIAC would do last week - but like Hazz has already said - I didn't think the MIAC would end the week at .500 - uff-da!

And isn't it crazy how after a single week of non-conference games, we're already counting chickens...?

Seriously though, it is good for the conference if there are more teams contending - just look at the WIAC for proof in that pudding.
