Old Fighting Scot

Tanney is a winner.  that is what makes him special.  Against LFC (34-0) he threw for 215 2td's and ran for 40.  After the game there were no smiles and hi fives, he was upset he missed a couple of open receivers and said "we need to get better."  Tanney has a very good D3 arm and his work ethic (i hear) is unbelievable.  He has good size (i would estimate 6'2 190) and athleticism, former bball player.  he comes from a good competitive background (Dad was a beast on the hardwood in the 70's) and the kid flat out wants to win.  Bell, Braun and the rest of the staff will have the Scots well prepared for saturday, but if we get a W, it will be because of Tanney making plays.
I could be wrong, but I doubt it....

One great player does not a team make.

He's going against a pretty decent QB, only won the Outstate-Metro game MVP.

Lake Forest only beat Macalaster by 11. I'd be upset if my high school team only beat LFC by 34!

This just in: Willy Wonka is requesting a 3 round Pay-Per-View matchup with Duffman at an upcoming Stiftungsfestivities.  Duffy, he informed me that you might not be walking for a few weeks following the Battle Royale.  KR is the referee and the Bus in the judge.

No, but would New England have 3 titles with Drew "please dont blitz me" Bledsoe at the helm.

I'm looking forward to seeing Mr. Tanney in action on Saturday. He sounds like a good kid with a lot of poise and talent. He will be tested big time in about 48 hours.

KR, JR, fellas,

Any of you have a good pic of Clemens that you can e-mail me?  I have a buddy from work coming along this weekend for the game and I wanted to prep him for the experience a little.

Here are a bunch from Homecoming '04...

Well, it DOES give them a chance to show that they played in front of full bleachers at least once!

SUMMIT!!!!!

all this talk about Tanney makes me wonder-- is it worth the trip? Shoudl SJU simply forfiet? maybe the NC$$ will cut costs further and have Tanney and Linfield's Elliott compete in a Punt-Pass-Kick type competition to determine the national champ (and the loser can hold Alex Smith's strap).

As good as the Scots make Tanney sound, I think SJU should be allowed to use a few extra LBs and DBs just to make things even.
