Even the young are drawn to Spicer for a chance to touch the fabled Spicer beaver.
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

Melvin's!  What a great bar.

Pretty interesting.  It's important to view the "nitelife" pic's

http://www.melvinsonthelake.com/nite_life.htm

rather than the ones under "photos" (especially the first one)

http://www.melvinsonthelake.com/photos.asp

Looks a little far to go on the first visit though.  What do you recommend closer to St. John's?

Can there be a picture taken in a bar in MN without at least 1 guy with a Snowmobile jacket on?

As far as closer to SJU, The LaPlayette lounge is pretty nice, Frank can inform you whether or not they have Hamm's on tap yet. Fins can take you to some of the finer establishments around SJU or Frank can show you all St. Cloud has to offer.

From much personal experience and knowledge of backroads, it is entirely possible to get from SJU to Spicer in 47 min 21 seconds assuming you hit the light in Paynesville right, no cops, and no slow grandma's going 45 MPH with a string of 40 cars behind them.

LAB,
Were these some of the "mature" ladies your friends met at Melvin's?

KR- you forget that there is a stoplight in richmond to worry about now...    And since the 4-lane is open from New London onward, there's no need for backroads- 23 all the way.

Go for the La-good establishment.  If you want to travel, The Side in Cold Spring was another joint we frequented- they used to have Hamms on tap, but it's been awhile.  If you want the true Stearns county experience, The Bullpen in Lake Henry, Back 40 in Meire Grove, Doochie's in St. Martin, and Goat Roapers in Farming all display backwoods flair. As for St. Cloud, we'll let Frank take care of those.

I know about 90 percent of the people in those pictures and have dated 2 of the women- kinda sad now that I think about it.
My grandmother is over eighty and still doesn't need glasses. Drinks right out of the bottle.  (Yasmine Bleeth comment valid unless prohibited by your College's code of ethics for Alums)

Just so we're clear, my family has SOME talent in it. Check it out here. Also, take note of TDT's ideal beaver on the right - 6-2, 240 of pure fun.
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

Just for clarification, those are Fighting Sux-  there's much more Beaver to the East of there.   ;D

Now THOSE are Beaver.

Post the first pic from the "photos" section (or give me a remedial 101 on how to do that) - maybe that pic will jog some memories.

johnnyadmit - Strangely enough, I think TDT's affinity for #55 works with your picture as well :)

Congrats to Kristi Boese.  Great honor.

Too bad all the athletic talent went to the female members of the family.  ;D

Does anyone else think its funny that the men's roster lists weight and the women do not?

OK to post a picture, find the picture that you want. Right click and select "Copy Image Location"

Now, open up a new reply screen like you normally do. click on the picture icon just below the I and just above the  ;) face on the reply page.

These letters/symbols should appear:

right click in between the [im g]and the[/img] and select Paste

Okay, I don't get "copy image location" when I right click, but I think I found it under "properties."  Let's see how this works.

Seems to work in preview.  Thanks, KR.

BTW, is this what they call "living large" in MN?  Reminds me of one of Murphy's lines in Sweet Season about the restaurant with the theme "Small portions are for Californians."

sumander

KR, as long as you are giving computer lessons :) How do you turn a long URL into a single word like WW did in the post shortly before this one?

Thanks.
I fly any cargo that you can pay to run
The bush league pilots, they just can't get the job done
You've got to fly down the canyon, don't never see the sun
There's no such thing as an easy run

And Mr. Computer Nerd, how to I post a photo that I have on my own hard drive into a PP message?
Please, oh please, enlighten me.

Okay, replace the () with [] and you should be good to go:

(url=http://www.whateverthelinkis.com)Link(/url)

That would print the word "Link" and when the user clicked on it, would lead to the URL address after url=

Fins, the only way I know of to do this is to upload your pictures to a free photo hosting site (unless you have your own photo hosting site).  I use www.imageshack.us.  It's free, you just upload your pictures to it and it'll host them and give you a URL address for it.  Then you can post it just like any other internet photo.
