Great win for the johnnies...Gary is a good football coach and I will say it here that Jimmy called a great second half on the offensive side of the ball.

Someone picked the wrong team.
Good win SJU-keep it going.

Great day to be out watching some football this afternoon, especially if the team you're rooting for wins.

Hey OZ - Did you hear that Jarryd Hayne is going to leave Oz and come to the U.S to persue a new career in the NFL?

Yeah, I have heard. He's big and fast, to be sure, but not exceptionally so. Or at least not more so than your regular NFL player. And at 26 I reckon he's too old.  But we'll see. Good luck to him.

Sura was... Sura today--205 yards and 2 TDs.
That puts him over 1,000 yards on the season.

Also, an absolutely gorgeous day in St. Peter today.
The colors coming up 169 were awesome.

Despite one of the worst officiating performances in the history of the MIAC, SJU overcame both GAC and the officiating to win.  I had visions of 87 in my head -esp with the phantom flag thrown after SJUs 1st interception in the 4th...

Did anyone else notice?  I mean even basic spotting esp by limpy linesman was 1 1/2 -2 yds off at times,,,,,

Oh well- A very good win for Johnnies

Outstanding second half adjustments, and my hats off to Mitch Hendricks---great play action, throws ball accurately and on a rope.

OldAuggie-you looked like a soothsayer at halftime. The SJU coaching staff did some fine-tuning of pass rush schemes to make Hendricks just uncomfortable enough to make some hurried throws resulting in incompletions and interceptions.

SJU60TX- I'm pretty sure the MIAC officiating committee will receive a letter and video examples (from SJU Athletic Department) of the inadequacies of this officiating crew. It was pretty pathetic
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

All I can guess is that they called the helmet to the chest by Warner a personal foul.  I think the sideline official got his feelings hurt by the Johnnie coaching staff on the play before when they chewed him out for a missed hold by the GAC receiver on Warner.

I also caught some of the post game interviews.  Warner didn't have a clue what exactly he was flagged for on that play.

Anyone else catch this at the end of the gophers game?

Cracked me up.

Oh God...reminds me of my wedding.  Two black guys were invited...one was a friend that did a reading during the service.  The other was a date of another guest.  At the reception my buddy (Farmer Dave) went up to the wrong black guy and told him how great of a job he did on the reading.  Funny thing was they looked nothing alike and were wearing different colored suits.

The Johnnies have a case for all 3 MIAC Player of the Week Honors

Offense- Sam Sura 205 yards, 2 TD. I believe the first 1,000 yard rusher of the season in the MIAC

Defense- Andrew Norri 9 solo tackles, 2 Int. & 2 pass break-ups.

Special Teams- Trevor Warner returns a blocked PAT 97 yards and 2 points later to turn what would have been a tied game (with successful GAC PAT) to a 3 point SJU lead. This was a huge momentum swing.

I guess we will all learn what the committee says on Monday afternoon.

faunch - I'd give your buddy a little break on that one. Tell me you never woke up next to someone who looked nothing  like the person you took home the previous night. #beergoggles.

Sura is 22 yards from breaking Matt Malmberg's regular season rushing record.
