Whew - lots of rockets in the air today...

BU flew 10 times today - 7 certification flights (7 different rockets), and flew the team rocket three times (2 times is the minimum requirement to get full points in the contest). This gave the team a total of 9 L1 Certified fliers this year, and 2 L2 certified fliers this year.

We did ok against the 15 teams that actually flew a team rocket today. My guesstimate is that only half of the teams got the minimum two flights in. All teams have to submit their final report by June 1st. We'll know results 2 weeks after that. I am hopeful we'll be back on the podium in one of the top three spots - we'll just have to wait and see.

Nice work Art! I think we've officially established BU Rocketry as one of the great quirks of the MIAC PP Board:
- Hamms
- Aussie Rules Football
- Furnace & AC Competition
- Monkey Stomp Tracking
- Ryan Hoag Jokes
... I know there are more that I'm not remembering right now.

So... Art starts asking me about the Hawks, and they have three off weeks in a row, resulting in two losses and a draw.  Jinxed the whole damned operation.

I was hoping you wouldn't notice... ;D

Texas Ole

Looking at moving back to Minnesota.  I haven't had my first $200 cooling bill yet, but the $500 one is coming!  Anyways I was asked about a job in Willmar.  I had some friends who were from there, but I've lost track of most of them.  Anyone know anything about the town today?

Also will have to do some research on hunting.  Most hunting in Texas on private lands where pretty much anything goes.  Deer and turkey hunting over feeders.  Not really the most sporting means.  Certain species you can hunt at night especially with thermals and night vision.  Also I don't remember there being a ton of dove hunting in MN, but looking forward to chasing some other wild upland birds.
