QB #4 Kyle Tracy showed a little Kaleb Blaha like speed today...granted it was late in the game. Also it looks like he's #3 and ahead of fellow freshman Nathan Ramler.

Can anything be gleaned from today's performance against Augsburg? Consecutive offensive explosions of 70+ & the defense pitching consecutive shutouts. Is it a reflection of how good we are? How bad our last two opponents have been? Both? Any thoughts/feelings ahead of the monster matchup with Bethel? I'm beyond nervous to face Bethel.

The positive to me is that SJU didn't play down to their opponent. It seems like every once in a while a team will take a lesser opponent for granted and will play poorly. Other than that not sure there's much to learn from beating Hamline and Augsburg. I watched quite a bit of the BU / NCC game and their offense will be the best and strongest the Johnnies play this season. Their o-line is big and strong and they have two solid running backs...if they had not turned the ball over against NCC it would have been a different game. The Johnnies will find out how good their defense is and the offense needs to score touchdowns when they're inside the 20's.

Nothing to glean I dont think. Defense looks very very good and that is without Aiden McMahon playing a snap all year.

Something interesting to note- unlike the last 3 SJU QBs, I do think the next All American QB is currently on the roster and is a freshman. Whether it is Tracy or Ramler is still to be seen. Both very good.

I think Ramler's dad was a hell of a tight end for the Johnnies. At 6'6" I wonder if he would ever make the switch? I'm guessing he and Tracy are of a much different style at QB. Would be a shame to lose either one of them to a rival.

So I'm watching the replay of the Cobber-Gustie game and as I listen I am wondering if the "old Bethel arena crew" has set up shop in St. Peter? First I heard the three gongs on third down and now I'm hearing the song with the "woo-hoo" being played ad nauseam. I do not miss them at the BU stadium.
