On the same day that College Game Day is returning to Iowa City to spotlight my Hawkeyes getting embarrassed by the Buckeyes, St John's is going to have a College Game Day! Truth be told, I'll probably be more disappointed by St John's losing to Bethel than Iowa losing to Ohio St. Sounds like the feed to the festivities in Collegeville is free and begins at 11:00. Go Johnnies & Go Hawks!

Oo-oo - can anyone else confirm this? And is this fallout from the poor reception of the Hamline debacle? (Anyone notice the double meanings in the question?  :D )

You sneak.  I thought it was the real deal.  Still, they look to be trying a high-quality production.  Let's hope it looks as good as the gen-pic.

As far as I can tell it's *only* the pre-game show. Looks like I'll have to tune in to their poorly mixed radio station again.

Looks like it's still pay per view. I exchange a few kind emails w/ the new AD. I won't be able to make the trip up to C-Ville and will be watching from home. If the video stream isn't markedly improved I won't be so kind in any follow up messages.
My Netflix is about $20 per month and ESPN+ starts at $13.99.
For $15 per game the SJU stream should be top notch!

Is this more for current & prospective students, not football players...?
With competition across the higher education landscape is this another thing SJU/CSB can offer that other schools can't?? Would this be something a high school senior might use in his/her decision making process?
I'm genuinely curious....
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

It's tough to say what people decide on, but I picked SJU because of the football atmosphere.  I originally went to Mac, and what a wet blanket that school turned out to be.  I went to a few football games, including a Johnnies game at Mac.  Bud Grant was sitting about ten feet away from my dad and me, and the Johnnie Nation were fully engaged.  It made an impression.

After leaving Mac and finishing a stint in the Navy, I decided to go to school somewhere where people actually enjoyed being there.  SJU it was, and other than Mrs Oz, it was the best decision I made in life.

Does anyone here know John McCutcheon?  A friend of mine is over for dinner tonight and saw him at the Port Fairie folk festival (a very rural and niche festival in very rural Australia)in 1991. He remembered that McCutcheon said he was a Johnnie. My mate says he's the best musician he's ever seen.

Good morning to all of the posters! A historic day in Collegeville with a first-ever College GameDay event! Curious what the final attendance count will be. Hoping St John's looks like a contender!

Amos 5:5

"do not seek Bethel,
do not go to Gilgal,

For Gilgal will surely go into exile,

Really wish I could go to the Bethel-SJU game today, but my son is running at St. Olaf at exactly the same time this afternoon. Also, this evening I am attending our own post patterns contributor SFury's induction into our high school's athletic hall of fame. Congratulations SFury! And Go Johnnies!
