I'm still in. I think the lowest my thermostat has registered is 64. The family hasn't complained. So looks like we'll make it to November, at least. That has to be a first.

Well, my Cobbs made a nice run today...two very evenly matched teams IMHO. Congrats to Bethel. They really stuffed the Cobber running game, and came up with big plays in all three spheres that made the difference today. Cobbers just need to finish their business agains MAC and Carleton, both at home, to put a cap on a strong season.
If the human brain were so simple that we could fully understand it...we would be so simple that we couldn't.

I kept checking in on that BU/Cobber game. It's a shame both teams couldn't lose.  ;D
Johnnies were lackluster today. Sure, a monkeystomp, but they left a lot of points on the field. GAC had a nice game plan.
I haven't looked at the stats, but it at least felt like they were flagged less than the past few games.

Four penalties for 24 yards.  A good performance in that respect.

Feeny with a couple of INTs, 5/12 on third-down conversions, 2/3 on fourth down.  A few drives didn't complete.  It's hard to believe we would say the offence sputtered a bit despite 22 first downs and just under 500 yards (including 401 yards of passing), but here we are.

It seemed to sputter harder listening to VOJ than it reads on paper.

Hopefully, GAC did find some clever defensive schemes to run that caused us some trouble.  Let's us get to work on the vulnerabilities before we hit them in the post-season.

EDIT:  11 drives.  3 TDs, 2 FGs, 1 missed FG, 2 INTs, 1 punt, 1 lost on downs, 1 ran out of time.  Yeah, an uncharacteristic lack of finishing.  Let's see what we learned.

Here's to y'all turning on your furnaces and putting a gag on all the grousing and griping about your undefeated team. Show some pride. The disdain gets old, especially when it is so undeserved.

I think Feeney took a good shot early in the game that maybe tweaked his shoulder/arm a bit.

My God, that dime he dropped into Schwelly's hands at midfield was a thing of beauty, though.  :o

CSS dropped the hammer on the Pipers. Are they improved this year, or is Hamline that bad?

One of Feeney's INTs was off of a tipped pass & I believe his arm was hit on the other. They were less penalized today which was a positive, but are certainly going to need to improve daily in practice as I don't see St Scholastica or St Olaf doing much of anything to better prepare us for much stiffer playoff competition.
