Quote from: Macon on August 22, 2026, 06:14:01 PMJK, I share your thoughts on large recruiting classes.  Similar to WLU, RMC brings in about 30-35 players each year

I was surprised to see HSC has 154 guys on the roster with 71 freshman.  I thought they were in the W&L and Macon camp.

I asked Copilot to count the rosters for several other schools in the region, so it might not be accurate.  Here's a few roster sizes:
Huntingdon: 170
HSC: 154
Averett: 137
Shenandoah: 137
Methodist: 134
Bridgewater: 131
Maryville: 130
LaGrange: 122
RMC: 111
Centre: 103
Guilford: 98
Sewanee: 96
W&L: 89
Roanoke: 85

My guess was slightly off,  as RMC has 37 freshmen this year.

Reminds me of the Staples red Easy Button!

If I'm being honest, I was in an uninteresting internal call this morning with Labor Day and football on the brain.  The copilot icon's temptation was too great!

3-4 for the conference on opening weekend. The wins were Guilford, Averett, and Point so not exactly murder's row.
I was expecting us to be more competitive than we were in that first half so was very disappointed with the mistakes we were making. With Berry's 2nd QB in the second half we were able to get a couple of turnovers and scores early and competed well enough that when we correct/cut down on the mistakes, I feel like we will have a chance to do well in conference play.
We have the first of the five long road games this season coming up. Hopefully we can improve enough for week 2 that with this being Hendrix' opener that we will be able to get the win.

Go Hawks!
