Wheaton announces their incoming class...all freshmen. Up to 10 now.

Maybe the AD allocated additional resources to MBB recruiting?

Not outside the realm of possibility. And to think, in an interview at the end of the season two seasons ago the Wheaton MBB Coach said that perhaps the AD should fire him 😏

ELMHURST RECRUIT

Luke Smith, a 6'0 SG from Addison Trail has committed to Elmhurst. This season he averaged 27 PPG, 8 RPG, and 7 APG. For his career he scored 2,531 points. Only 30 players in Illinois HS basketball history have scored more points.
The $64,000 dollar question is will he be able to shoot anywhere near that prolifically at the next level.

Greek Tragedy

U of Chicago surprises me a little. Thought he might want to try the D1 route. I guess he wanted the academic prestige of U of Chicago instead of getting to experience D1. Emory probably still top dog in the UAA and then Chicago/Washington U. IWU played Chicago last season. I imagine they probably do again next year. Good luck to Roper.

Strong CCIW representation in our Top 10 dunks of the year video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgEHwiZsxrY

If you're able, please consider giving the video a thumbs up on YouTube and hopefully it can find an audience beyond those normally plugged into D3 hoops.

NCC NEWS

The North Central Men's Basketball Team will enjoy a ten day trip to Spain and Portugal in early August. In addition to games against top competition team members will have the opportunity to do lots of sightseeing including exploring several landmarks in each country, sample regional cuisine, and gain a little understanding of the culture of both of the two countries.

Other news......

North Central's school colors have long been white and Cardinal red, but the basketball team has long been attired in uniforms more correctly identified as maroon when on the road. However, in an effort to more closely identify with the true school Cardinal red shade, rumor has it that the team will be getting new road uniforms that will be more of a "regular" (brighter) red hue.
