I believe his wife is now a IWU employee so if it's true it wouldn't be that surprising. However, he's not yet listed on the IWU 🏀 site. If true, he'd be their fifth asst coach. Also, it would be interesting to know if he would he be considered a volunteer, or full-time or part-time. Given his background, would he be the Head Assistant?

I know that UW-SP Coach Kent Dernbach is glad to see him go.  Lewis kicked them around quite a bit during his tenure.  I recall Lewis has an MBA so maybe they found some other things to do for him at IWU, who knows.

Carthage has landed Braylen Blue, a 6'5", 185 rising junior guard from Sun Prairie, WI and Madison Memorial HS. In 2023-24 he was a freshman at St. Francis (PA), played sparingly, and then departed once the school announced it was moving from D1 to D3. After a year at a Utah juco where he ended up redshirting, he transferred again last year, this time to Madison College right in his back yard, and averaged 9.5 ppg while putting together an impressive .441/.365/.950 shooting line.

Augustana was also after him, and Clarke offered him an NAIA scholie. Radford sent him a preferred walk-on invite, but one season sitting at the end of the bench for a low-level D1 in another time zone seems to have been enough for him.

Given the wholesale losses Carthage suffers from last season's backcourt -- Riley Brooks in particular -- the addition of Blue looks like a pretty welcome development for Steve D.

Greg, When I heard the last name Blue and being from the Madison area, got me wondering if he was related to Vander Blue who had a nice career at Marquette.  He indeed is a cousin.   I googled a bit more on Brayden and seemed as if he had some decent scholarship offers coming out of high school (he noted Arizona State and Washington) so not sure why or how he ended up at St. Francis.  He does look the part of someone who could likely step in and make a big contribution (hopefully) as Carthage will need a few more reinforcements like him.

Ed McGhee has resigned as NPU's head coach to take an assistant coaching job at an as-yet-unnamed D1 school.

No other details forthcoming at this point.

Is Doug Collins still in Chicago?

Has anyone heard anything about whether recently-returned-to-the-fold Asst. Coach TJ Cobb might be given an "Interim" Head Coach title or has North Park announced any kind of an open job search?

The NPU site states A national search for new leadership will begin promptly.
But besides the problem actually finding a new head coach there naturally exists the possibility some returning players might choose to leave. Also, some committed recruits who were only very recently recruited by the now departed head coach and as yet have no association with the school might reconsider their commitment(s). As such, a school will often elevate an assistant to interim head coach for the upcoming season in order to preserve continuity for the current roster. If NPU elects to go this route it seems TJ would certainly be the guy.
