Wizardry, come on, check out that FT percentage...

(Sadly that really is exciting the way this team has shot freebies lately. I could very easily see us here on Saturday either saying the 55% from the line was Hope's undoing or that our 90% FT shooting saved the game.)

Use it wisely young Andersdy, the power to karma can be a dangerous thing in the wrong hands.  ;D

And now with #200, I.... have... the power!!!  8)

Yes, use it wisely -- move me off of the #0# mark!   ;D  Positively, if you please! ;)

Feel free to kiss up to me at will now, Civic. I was more eager for the power because someone had shown up that needed a good smiting, but go ahead and dazzle me.  ;)

Sac,

Just checked weather.com & they say partly cloudy & low to mid 70's
all weekend down there. I'm really jealous now!!! Enjoy the whole experience because as you well know, they are way too few & far between. Good luck to the Dutch. Represent the MIAA well!!!

Did not notice any comments on the forum ...

... did anyone watch Saturday's Hope/Calvin on television?  If so, how was it?

Most of the posters on this site were actually there in person. Great game, hard fought, with a controversial call at the end. Oh yeah, and even a little blood. What more could you ask for in the greatest small college basketball rivalry in the country?
You need to go back a few pages & there are lots of comments if you want to get a flavor for the game.

From the angle of the Hope camera, it looked even worse than I remembered -- Greg went flying at an angle that would be difficult to "impersonate" in a flop.  (Haven't asked him about it directly though -- he could deserve an Oscar, i don't know.)

Oh, OK.  I'm sure he'll give you an honest answer.... ;D

knights2000

yes, im sure he'll be honest....

anyways, the game was a great game...but not the best of the year. ;)    great hustle by both teams....it was really too bad that someone had to lose.

Um, actually he would give me an honest answer.  I, of course, won't tell anyone what that answer is... ;)  And that's why he can tell me. ;D

Oh, Civic Minded, you are such a tease!!!
I for one know what I saw regardless of his opinion in the last seconds of a tense game. I doubt at that moment in time if he could even tell you his own name.

I personally think it should be called the greatest rivalry in college sports.  ESPN said it was what 8th?  i have been to multiple Illinois/Missouri games that ESPN ranked above Hope/Calvin and they don't compare at all to THE Rivalry.

My dad always says that i went to a school with the right colors and the wrong name (my parents went to U of Illinois).
