I know I read somewhere (was it here, on your D3Data Cast, on X I can't remember) your "optimal" guideline/thoughts for scheduling in the NPI era including how you would want your own conference teams to schedule as well.  Would you be so kind as to share that here - or point me to it.  I'd like to take a look at that relative to actual schedules for the MIAA teams.

Non-cons at home vs Heidelberg and UWSP

Non-cons on the road at Ohio Northern, Northwestern Ohio (NAIA), Central MI (D1), Rose-Hulman, and Findlay OH (D2)

Non-cons at neutral sites with John Carroll, Ohio Wesleyan, Muskingum, and WashU

Olivet has added a game at Carthage on December 19.

And they have removed the game against NW Ohio (NAIA) - a good move, but sheesh their schedule just got even tougher, now with 9 games vs D3 and 2 exhibitiions (expect there are 2 more additions to come).  Right now the 9 opponents had a 0.654 winning percentage last year, an average NPI of 86, and 3 of the 9 were NCAA tournament teams.

Found that per Franklin's schedule, that they are hosting Olivet on Fri Nov 7 (they are then hosting Hope the following day). Add another really tough opponent to the Comet's schedule

Two more freshmen for Albion, based on this recent tweet:

https://x.com/AlbionMBB/status/1957493799992848464

Henri Maye from Tindley, Indianapolis
Tyler Davis from Grand Rapids Christian (looks like a switched commitment from Heidelberg)

Also, I think BJ Hunter is returning for another year-- he was on Albion's social media recently and wasn't featured in the 2025 graduation pictures.  He was injured his first season, so has a redshirt year.

I was lucky enough to have a sneak peek tour of Kresge last weekend.  There are a few finishing touches to add, but it's looking great.  The bleachers are purple!  Coach May said in a radio interview at the beginning of August that the sound in the gym is a bit different, but don't worry, it will still be loud.   :)   The locker rooms, team meeting areas, offices, and entryway have been redone, as well.

I'm looking forward to seeing some exciting Briton basketball this season as Kresge celebrates it's 100th birthday.  It's a wonderful place.  Go Brits!

Updated Olivet schedule is posted and now has 11 D3 games with the addition of Anderson as well the first weekend.  That schedule is just super tough - 0.676 win % last season for their opponents, with an average NPI of 79 and 4 NCAA tourney teams.  ALL of the Comet's opponents had a better NPI than Olivet last year (Olivet was 241, and their "worst" opponent, Muskingum was 14-13 and NPI 178 last season).

Really interesting press release from the MIAA today:

https://miaa.org/news/2025/8/21/miaa-launches-new-collaboration-with-brentwood-partners.aspx

from the release:

"Led by former collegiate athletic administrators Michael Waddell and Keith Tribble, Brentwood Partners offers strategies that go beyond sponsorships. The firm focuses on revenue innovation, fan engagement, NIL programs, brand building, content creation, and executive searches."
