Lots of last second heroics and perseverance in the NACC today:

- Dominican never trailed in the 2nd half against Lakeland until Max Justic hit a trey with three seconds left to lift the Muskies to a one point win.

- Not to be outdone, Marian never led in the second half against Benedictine until Derek Lindert hit a two point jumper at the buzzer to steal the win for Marian.

- CUW never trailed in the second half against St. Norbert - they had a 13 point lead with 6 minutes left in regulation - until Will Stuckey hit a layup with two seconds remaining to defeat the Falcons by one in Mequon.

- CUC never led in the second half (trailing Wisconsin Lutheran by 21 with 11:10 left to play) until Aaron Brown hit a free throw with 22 seconds remaining and the Cougars held on for a one point win in River Forest.

Greek Tragedy

Muskies have won 3 road conference games in a row! Problem is, they haven't won a conference game at home yet.

Greek Tragedy

It's been way too long. It a 2-horse race between Aurora and St. Norbert. MSOE is a game back, but are we really considering them a contender? They lost at SNC by 13 and got smoked by 40 at Aurora. The Engineers do host both at the end of the year. So I guess you never know. Benedictine, sitting at just 5-7, has handed both Aurora and SNC their only losses of the conference season thus far. The Eagles do play Aurora again, but do not face the Green Knights a second time. The league leaders battle on Valentine's Day for their only match up this season. The NACC will be a one bid league. Aurora is the closest team to a Pool C birth at around 34/35. Even if they won out and lost in the conference final, they won't jump enough to be considered.

Aurora 12-1
SNC 12-1
MSOE 11-2

Concordia WI 8-5
Rockford 7-5
Marian 6-6
Benedictine 5-7
Concordia Chicago 5-7
Lakeland 5-8

Edgewood 3-7
WLC 3-9
Illinois Tech 3-11

Dominican 1-11

A poor showing in non-conference doomed any shot for this league being a multi-bid league again this year.

WLC picked up another win today over Concordia Chicago but a 2 game gap is between them and the last conference tournament spot. Lot of underclassmen getting reps this year. Either way I feel WLC was a bit over rated coming into the year especially with what was returning.

Real impressed with MSOE. They lose by double digits to SNC and 40 to Aurora, but rebound to beat SNC and then Aurora on the last day.

Not sure how the tie breakers go, but MSOE and SNC split, MSOE goes 1-1 with 2nd place Aurora and SNC goes 1-0. Somehow MSOE is the #1 seed?

After head to head they have a point system that favors road wins over home wins:
