And l believe PP,CMS, and Oxy were all in the same day.

Yeah, that's true, although I went back to Oxy a second time in 2018 or so for a game against Whittier.

Oxy was a pretty unique set up. I did enjoy the fact Oxy's team was on the opposite side of the stands. I figured that was done so the coaching staff didn't have to listen to armchair QB's in their home crowd and less distractions.

Dale Widolff was a smart man. Too bad Oxy's trash leadership defamed and ended the career of a phenomenal coach and ultimately a proud football program with 100 years of legacy and pride. Bunch of bafoons in Eagle Rock.

Oxy football was doomed 15 years ago. Somehow being masculine turned into a bad thing. Once the school went woke (btw my friend refused to send his daughter there recently, due to this issue) ...she ended up at Chapman.

You can trace the leadership changes, talking to the last batch of FB players, they had a target on their back, for some reason security was always near by..Coach had to constantly remind them they are being watch. Now throw in how the woke leadership mislead the alumni in bringing back football.

Oxy - Enjoy not standing up for the national anthem and pulling flags out of the ground for innocent 911 victims.

Do they even fly the American Flag on campus, anymore? no respect for Oxy

And the crowd could pick on the visiting players.

I'm with you, Olddog. I've lost all respect for OXY. I always heard chatter regarding how dim their lights were and how they would use that an as advantage. Teams that weren't used to playing at night had trouble seeing the field.

It's astonishing how a single misguided leadership decision can dismantle more than a century of tradition. And to make matters worse, OXY took the million dollars raised to bring back football and spent it on everything except football.

Oxy had terrible lights and they knew it.  Major home field advantage, Cal Lutheran always had UR play in the 1pm time slot which was always hot.  I wonder why they went away from that.  UR should have home games during the day in late October/November.  Maybe 4pm.  Beautiful time of year in that region of the IE.

Predictions for tomorrow.

Redlands takes it to La Verne. 28 point win and Redlands offense looks the best it has all year.

CMS and Cal Lu play a close game. Cal Lu wins by 3 on the road and still maintains the top spot in the sun division.

Chapman wins by 17 and Pomona's offense will struggle to move the ball.

I see LaVerne putting up a fight and losing to Redlands by 10.
CLU beats up CMS by 17.
Chapman wins big over PP, say by 30.

UR/LV, depends on which offense shows up. LV will not be able to run the ball. UR 17-10
CMS/CLU, the Regals will roll, defense will shut down the run due to team speed is so much superior. Regals 31-17
CU/PP...Hens need a couple roosters on their O line, and at QB...CU 42-17

I see UR handling LV easily. I've been impressed with how they have been playing this year, after a few down years. UR defense has been dominant, but the most posts they've score in regulation in SCIAC play is 17. I would hope they can get the offense rolling this week vs LV.

I think CMS/CLU will be a close one. CMS a good front 7 and CLU has a good offense so it will be interesting to see which side comes out on top.

I see CU handling PP. CU is clearly the best team in SCIAC and I expect them to show that this weekend.

I see the SCIAC championship game bringing CLU to CU where CU wins the SCIAC and moves out to the 1st round of the playoffs. CU played both HSU & Linfield close this year so I don't think it's a guaranteed first round exit as many have predicted.
