If it works for Frank, so be it. However, I think more Union kids should get involved in the school radio station.

What's Union's d-line like?

Pat Coleman

Frank's broadcasts aren't on the school radio station.

Union89 - johnny most, yeah, biased - 'havlicek stole the ball!' But he was an absolute rarity. Being a homer is no way to work in Division 3 or move up past D3.

I agree, and I have heard a TON of homers, more every year it seems. If you think you've heard bad ones, I challenge you to tune into some of the WIAC or ASC games. Some of those broadcasts are borderline unbearable.

I would say this about Frank -- maybe he was just on his best behavior when I was on his broadcast for around half the third quarter on Saturday, but he didn't strike me as being an outlandish homer. Didn't seem to want to ID any of the RPI tacklers, but otherwise fine. :)

It's not that I didn't want to...Just tough without a spotter.  I liked when Pat spotted for me once during our exchange...Felt like I was a pro for about ten seconds...then I realized I was still outside freezing my butt off underneath a loudspeaker :-)  Hey, 10-0, the Shoes and the NCAA Bid...made it worth it.

I might add that Pat was an excellent color commentator...although Carm Audino is still my favorite to work with.  He's taught me a lot about football formations, which is tough enough to convey when a game is on television, let alone radio.

Thanks for the props, Pat.  Suddenly it's a love-fest :-)

Yeah, by the way, it's being way too overshadowed by buffoons like me...GO HOBART!  Represent the LL this weekend.  You definitely have the weapons to do it.

Kurt Stutt has not only heard of us, he broadcast a Shoes game for us as the Game of the Week a few years back.

However, he was always on the air when I walked by.

RT,Dawg,'Gro-

Looking for some advice on setting up fake voice mail messages or auto responders on e-mail etc.... work is really getting in the way of keeping up to date on PP. Perhaps RT's solution of handing in resignation would be the best plan.

Any feedback would be appreciated

Seeing as how comparing stats, common opponents, sos, etc....  doesn't really mean anything on these boards, Bobby would like to hear an objective opinion about the Hobart – Cortland St. game from anybody that might have seen both teams play this year.

And Bobby doesn't forget bobbys brethren from across the river Hudson, How bout the same for the RPI – SJF game this weekend.

  AN EVENING WITH GRO...[/b]

Gro has had the big screen TV for a while now... but Gro finally stepped into 2005 (and out of the backwoods of West TN) and has HDTV service. Gro now only watches the 8 high def channels... it pains his eyes to watch anything else.

Syracuse vs. Texas Tech coming up... smell ya later.

Zach is giving away his age, however, this is good for you "youngsters" that think having teenagers is a terrible thing.  If you're going to pay higher insurance premiums because a "kid" is driving under the age of 25, then you might as well see the benefit....

Zach's daughter got her license (ZA got married very young...he's not that old)...and the first thing ZA did was have her drive ZA to the nearest Irish Pub about three hours ago and pick him up just now after about 2000 calories of food and several giant lagers, and ZA has to say....LIFE IS GOOD....IF you're going to pay the higher insurance premiums, at least have them little bastards drop you off to a bar!!!!

GO U!!!

Now that's a Zackattack.  Obviously you are not only smart but resourceful. Smart, drunk and safe, I'd call it a triple crown.

Frank, I respect your response. I haven't heard a Union football broadcast. I feel that you are walking a fine line as broadcaster and a poster here. However, it seems as though you know your head from your rear (i mean that as a compliment).
It's buffoons and homophobes like Uold that cause me to make assumptions about other posters.

You respect his response AFTER calling him a bafoon!!!  Give ZA a break...That's B.S.
