I think Willie Mays Hayes has a legitimate chance at cooperstown... The guy stole a ton of bases for the tribe and more importantly was able to morph from Wesley Snipes into Omar Epps.

And lets not forget Pedro Cerano... the guy would later become president of the United States.

Pedro Cerrano...Currently known as Willy Mo Pena?  That guy crushes everything straight and can't come close to a curve ball, yet they keep throwing him fastballs.  LD11 does not get it.

'Need hots for bats!'

PBR...

hey artie you finally make it home to your own crib?

Artie has been back in Northern NJ for a while, cooking up delicious meals for my mob buddies.  RIP Bobby Bacala, get well Sil.

phils sweep the mets!!! pbr is stunned!!!

stunned?  Realistic is PISSED.  Back-to-back-to-back for the first time in 18 years and Wagner comes on an blows it?  WTF?  I know he's entitled to one every once in a while but man, they needed that one.

RE: Schilling, I agree with Pat on this one...however, I think name recognition has gotten a number of people in recently over more qualified players (ie: Rice).

The only thing about Schilling is that it looks like he might actually have 2+ more real good pitching years for him.  Good stats in those years might put him over the top.

PBR...

and the mets have a tough tough schedule the next 2 weeks....the fighin phils could be in first before u know it!!!

'gro watcha cookin?  a little .....shake.................and bake?

realistic

seriously!!.... Mets go to Detroit and the phils go to KC.   UUGGHH.

If robots who crunched numbers voted on the Hall of Fame, I don't know if Curt Schilling is good enough.  But people vote.

Writers vote. I get the feeling writers are less likely these days to hold a grudge than the writers of previous decades, but I think the human factor might not be as much of a positive as it could be.

As a blogger, he doesn't get a HOF vote. :)

If he didn't come out and throw games like last night, Schilling and his blog would make me violent.  Sometimes I just wish he'd shut the f up, but other times, I think it's kinda ballsy that he isn't ashamed at his arrogance.

Yes, once upon a time the bitter smiters were nearly keeping up with applauders. Like 18 months ago.

Yea he is kind of a prick sometimes, but I like how he will go on a radio show and call out specific reporters or hosts that say something.   Most guys will either just stop talking totally to the media or make some blanket comment like "you guys are #!* and !#$!"

He was all over WEEIs Jon Meter-Perel (Ithaca '94) last week when Meter called him "Curt Mussina" after his last loss.  Even today Meter isn't laying off Schill.

Utah, +1K for the 1978 Norfolk Aggie Tech reference on the NESCAC board.

I actually went to Holy Name in Worcester, then PG'd at Worcester Academy.  What high schools did the other MA locals attend??

See, LD would have been immediately 'black listed' as a problem child with the 3 HS thing.  Did you have like a 5.1 GPA or pictures of Ms. Jackson with farm animals??

Also, how does the Guru stay so battle ready??  He just finished a battle here a couple of weeks ago and already he's throwing haymakers with Jose over in the E8.  The Guru needs no recoup time and is one finely trained warrior!!!
