What's up gents. Sorry RT has been so quiet...he's been working on the new RPI football recruiting video

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=3060116000917863097

Looks like a William Paterson recuiting video to JT.  Great housing, great shopping, fine entertainment, guns, drugs, and the Passaic River.

Right now JT is giggling like a mofo.  Watching a new Maury on the DVR about phobias.  One lady is afraid of cotton balls, and I mean freaking the f out.  She admits to having nightmares of being attacked by a cotton ball man.  So what does Maury do.... Two interns suited in cotton balls like the Stay Puff marshmello man come out.  Party is ON!!!   Whaaa... throwing chairs... screaming.

Entertainment under the guise of pretending to help people.  Classic Maury.  Two thumbs up!

JT will find it on youtube in a couple of days.  Still not sure if it beats the girl from last year that was afraid of pickles.

TDT is quite happy he just got orientated with Troy.  The video of the Best Western Renssaeler Inn pretty much locked up the trip to the Shoesopalooza this November.

This "Ghetto Chopper" sounds like a real classy establishment as well.  Never heard of it, please do fill TDT in...

In other news, TDT saw Ocean's 13 and Mr. Brooks recently.  Both highly recommended.

Shoes 2k7 will be at the FRANK (Frank Bailey Field) in lovely Schenectady, NY. Only 15 miles from Troy.  2 things you should grow accustomed to seeing upon a trip to the capital district:

Price Chopper, local grocery store.  The closest one to RPI was one that cattered to the food stamp crowd, hence the name ghetto chopper. Good beer selection.

Stewart's, a place for the occational beer/snack run and location where poppa gro gets his morning coffee (why gro does not know, nothing special about this coffee).  Gro suggests you stop by the Stewart's on Brandywine Ave in Scheneck, which has been robbed more times than Barry Bonds has home runs.

Gro, you idiot.....Ghetto Chopper burnt down our senior year!  Are you kidding Reg?  Don't you remember?
I only WISHED they had shown a video of the inside of that best western...!!! YACK!

TDT- whatever you do, do NOT follow gros hotel recomendations for the Union game.  I swear the place he took me to 2 years ago had mentally insane people setting up shop there.  They gave us a free continental breakfast and I think the lady in 221 was feeding her imaginary cat cereal and orange juice.  She was somewhere between 89 and 112 years old.  Gro, was that the Ramada...I hate you for putting us through that Gro!  (Reg is currently digging through trip advisor to find reviews of said hotel.)

Touchdown Tommy

REG: I thought you clowns said you stayed at the BW Renssalaer Inn??  Also, TDT doesn't see where Enginegro recommends a hotel.  Do you think it'd be prudent to pack a black light??  Troy sounds a little scary.  Is RPI in the "nice part" of town?  Inquiring minds want to know...

Please read the reviews of this hotel that Gro had Reg stay in.  MR didn't talk to me for a WEEK!

We stayed at the BW Rensselaer inn last year bc the game was in Troy.  get with the program TDT!  The game is good both places....except at union, it sucks after the game, becuase noone (alumni or players) have ever left campus.  Maybe we should get rooms in troy and let Gro drive everyone back and forth.?

yeah yeah it burned up a little but they reopened it for about 3 months where all they sold was beer and baby formula (locked up).

What was so bad about that hotel? It was right next to a bowling alley... a BOWLING ALLEY!! What more do you want?  The BWR is the sheeit.
EDIT  Oh man... the ramada in Albany was HOODtastic... I had no idea it was right near the friggen bus station.  My bad about that one.

TDT, in schenect... there is one hotel. The holiday inn on Nott Terrace (did this burn down yet?)  it's about a half mile from Union's country club, I mean campus.

It looks like Troy is the sister city to Jersey City, same quality hotels, same activities and car jackers to relieve you of those high car payments.

Gro- you're damn right it was hoodtastic!  That place made the BWR look like the freaking Ritz!

TDT- FYI, those were only the bad parts of Troy.  There were many other parts around campus that are much nicer.  And the main strip DT is OK to walk around*.  You would have a good time around Troy....kinda like when Reg goes home to upstate NY....where you don't really want to be there, but it is good to crumple up $20's and bounce them off people's heads you went to high school with.

*-(you are fine walking around as long as you aren't an 18 year old Troylette looking for fight and stumble upon Gro, who hasn't had his dollar slice of pizza and a soda yet, who would immediately knock you our with one punch.....the famous "Yo LD11, what's on that kids AZZ???.... "CONCRETE"!!! punch

Good times

Well that Red Roof Inn looks like pure luxury.  And you wanna talk about location.  Right on the river and 6 blocks to the State Capitol.  Holy shizz!!

Have u guys booked your rooms for the Shoes game in November?  TDT would possibly sleep in his rental car instead of dropping a Benji (as listed on Reg's link) to stay at that Palace.  I'd like to make the trip, but will need a tour guide/protection and you may want to ask RT.  Us Native Minnesotans know how to party...

Closed Circuit to the Car Bombers: May not be a good idea to challenge TDT in ML's or Car Bombs before and/or after Shoes game...

Did the Days Inn across from the street from Holiday Inn burn down yet?  It's cheap and you can probably watch crack addicts in Vale Park from your window.

Regarding leaving campus at Union.  September of Rolevio's freshman year, he and 2 roommates decide to go down out and check out Jay Street and downtown Schenectady at 3pm.  After checking out the shops which was mainly hand blown glass pipes, Rolevio and his 2 roommates hung outside at the tables for about 10 minutes in which he watched 2 people stumble by drunk, one person pass out, and one person ask us for pot.  Deciding to leave we went to get a pizza at a shop on State Street right next to Jay.   Rolevio made it into the shop just as they were locking the door at 4pm because they were afraid of being robbed.  That was the only trip off campus that term until Rolevio got to know some better places.
