KS really hates these AZZHOLES!    He hopes someone decides to bust a few heads tomorrow.  What the F is wrong with these people.  Give some respect to a fallen American Hero.

The Rev is not a fan of war, but The Rev wouldn't dream in his most azzholish moments of making a scene at a funeral.  Don't these people have any social graces whatsoever?  If they don't like what's going on, take it to the recruiter's office, or take it to the steps of the Capitol Building, take it to the White House gate.  But to some poor dead guy's funeral?  That is beyond gauche.

Then again, these are the same people who think Catholics are polytheists, so we're not exactly talking about intellectual giants here.  Apparently not only do they not know their theology, but they forgot their manners, too.

I'm sure a veteran biker group from NJ will take up the cause and block out these wackos.

pbr works w/ a guy that does this...he was a major in the air force and he is part of a military veterans bikers group that go to these funerals to help control traffic and keep these a holes away...these guys use up all their own vaca time to help out families in need. pretty amazing group of veterans.  They go some long distances to help out families.

Let them try and shout over a bunch of loud Harleys.

They don't care.  The more Harleys, the more police, the more press.  thats all these clowns want.

They were in my home town 2 years ago when 3 college kids died in an apartment fire.

They showed up on campus, went into the student union for coffee and then came out to brandish their hatred.

Frickin' nut jobs.

Is this the latest euphemism for 'killed'?

Not that I would object, necessarily, but the kids need to be removed and un-brainwashed.  Do as you wish (or I wish) with the adults. ;)

Actually, if you had a mayor with half a brain, he/she should restrict the free speech area to a mile away.... "for their own safety".  I wouldn't let them close to the church or the cemetery.

This group actually has a legal team that calls ahead to the town they are going to and telling them that they are going to protest and where they want to do it.  Im not sure if anyone has tried to do the "free speech" thing with this group yet in terms of setting up this zone far away from the protest site.  But I think constitutional law is pretty clear on this one and the legal teams know what they can or cannont do.

The Rev doesn't like the Jerkwater Baptist Church folks much, but the only thing worse than these clowns protesting the funeral is using government power to silence them.

The Constitution provides for free speech even if we hate what the people say.  In fact, it is precisely when we hate what they say ("hard cases") that we have to protect it the most.  Otherwise we admit that we really have no rule of law, but only popular whim.  If we don't protect unpopular speech, then it becomes a means to silence any one who is outside of the Power's favor.  Today it's these jerkballs. Tomorrow JT. The next day Mr. Ypsi.  To allow only those we like to speak, or to put those that we don't want to hear into "free speech zones" is the political equivalent of moral relativism.  America is a free speech zone.  Any limit on that is un-American.

The entire purpose of the US military is to ensure that no one from within or without the United States infringes on The People's right.  To use government power to silence the Jerkwater Baptist Church is actually more offensive to the dead soldier than the planned protest.  To use government power to silence people is basically telling the soldier that he died for a lie-- that the Constitution he swore to defend is to be more honored in the breech than the observance.  The Rev is much too much of an old school Jeffersonian conservative to accept that.

The Rev has unlimited free speech here in Korea. But that might be because no one understands what The Rev says.  :D  ah~ a touch of whimsy.

Looks like we got into politics on the LLPP again.  Oops!

It looks like the Paratrooper from North Bergen got a fitting send off.  The paper did a nice job of not mentioning the Azzholz from Kansas.
