Having said that, he's only had a chance to play in three games, so lots of time remaining to prove you right.

Only 3 ODAC teams in action this week, Roanoke, Guilford and Bridgewater. Hard to get a feel for the conference right now.

How good is Dickinson? Other than R-MC, they have played Davidson and Lycoming. I have no idea. How good is JHU? Obviously massively overrated at 4, but are they a top 50 team?

In my opinion, the ODAC runs through Ashland until someone proves otherwise. But I think it's closer this year than it has been. It's so hard to tell though because of atypical results. Could be 3 or 4 teams in contention, could be just the YellowJackets again.

And dear lord I hope W&L is done playing Salisbury....

I guess that's why we play the games.

^^^ Roanoke should beat Gallaudet given that Averett thumped Gallaudet last week. But the other two games are harder to call. I'm guessing Guilford will lose to Brevard. As for Bridgewater at Centre, who knows? Both are 0-2. Both were shut out 17-0 in their first games. Both scored two touchdowns in their second games, but Bridgewater was playing a very good Susquehanna while Centre played LaGrange.

The Top 25 voters have corrected their pre-season view of Hopkins, dropping them into the RV group.

I agree that this season is not like the last few in the ODAC. I'd be surprised if anyone goes undefeated.

Three lopsided shutouts today. Roanoke the only winner 52-0 over Gallaudet.

Brevard thumped Guilford 59-0.

Centre overwhelmed Bridgewater 45-0. I was in and out watching this game with the sound off most of the time. Didn't see a lot of the scoring by Centre. Late in the 4th quarter Bridgewater had the ball but was missing on long pass attempts. On third or fourth and long Centre was penalized 15 yards (not sure what for) so Bridgewater got a fresh start and on the next play completed a long pass to a wide open receiver who was tackled at about the Centre seven yard line. On the following play, which looked to be a designed QB keeper, the BC QB fumbled and Centre recovered. A score there could have given BC something to feel good about. It was not to be. Don't know if that was characteristic of what preceded it in the game for Bridgewater. Feeling bad for the Eagles. Centre's defense did look pretty good. In their two losses preceding this game they had given up only 17 and 16 points respectively.

I watched the CNU- Susquehanna game yesterday.... The Captains are FOR REAL! Defense is STOUT!! Plus they have a good running back-#1-that never gives up and has a low center of gravity and moves the chains!! I expect them to go far this year in the postseason!! And as to the comment that the road to the ODAC Championship running through Ashland..... well I would just say MAYBE. The parity in our league is closer this year than in past years....there are four or so teams that can win it!! Gonna be an interesting year!!

^^^ I saw a good bit of that CNU/Susquehanna game as well. (Without RMC to watch, why not?) CNU defense was outstanding, as you said. Susquehanna turned the ball over six times -- four fumbles, two INTs. One of the early fumbles was with their RB trying hard to get into the end zone, but a CNU defender knocked the ball loose ending SU's best chance to score the entire game. CNU has allowed a total of three TDs in three games.
