"McDaniel is not that good a team and probably not a whole lot better than Guilford. "

That comment is silly.  Their records since 1999:

McDaniel: 52-16  (3 NCAA playoff & 2 ECAC playoff appearances)
Guilford: 15-49 (no post-season appearances)

Their records this year:

McDaniel:  3-0
Guilford: 0-4

Maybe Pat went too far with the "joke" comment, I'll grant you that since games like that sometimes happen to good teams.  I'll also agree that McDaniel is probably not as good as the playoff teams from 1997 to 2001.  They did, however, beat BC in both 2004 and 2005.  Your comment about McDaniel undermines the entire ODAC including BC.

I really wasn't trying to take anything away from McDaniel.  I think BC played a horrible 2nd half that day and, to McDaniel's credit, they made plays and won the game.  Thus, they certainly deserved that win.  I just don't think they're that talented a team.  Gutsy, yes.  And for what it's worth I will definately be rooting for McDaniel the rest of the way.

And the OCAC is not a very good conference right now.  That's not undermining, that's just a fact.

to comment on past records and try to compare them to the current season is irrelevant in all levels of sports, but especially on the d3 level where you can have huge amounts of player turnover from week to week much less on a yearly basis.  McDaniel may have had good teams in the past and perhaps Guilford might not have been so strong but that has absolutely no bearing on the quality of the team put on the field this year.

however, let the bc faithful talk their talk this week.  from the number of posts on the site from the bc juggernaut and the dearth from anywhere else, i reckon that the page is going to be empty after saturday.  but perhaps these same people can board on the tiger bandwagon--we'll forgive your ignorance and gladly let you on.

SKOALTRAIN, Don't pay the ransom.  Your bastard daddy escaped.  I'm back on the boards again.  This week I'm taking a philosophical view on E & H's lss to W & J.  It was really a moral victory.  Last year they defeated us (I think) 78-14 and scored 40+ points on us in the first quarter.  This year we played them fairly evenly the first quarter with them only scoring 7 points and 50 for the entire game.  There may be light at the end of the tunnel.  I honestly believe our kids showed more effort, enthusiasm, and desire in this game than any other game this season.  There is a reason W & J is ranked in the top 10 -- THEY ARE GOOD and much better athletes on the field than E & H.  I really see light at the end of the tunnel and think we will beat Methodist next week.  If we play like we did Saturday, we should stand a good chance.  Peace.  I am the E & H dad aka Skoaltrain's bastard father.

however, maybe that is what the odac needs.  bc has had its time in the sun and has shown they can't get it done.  let's let a real school have a shot and see what they can do.

e h dad

Unofficial and not embellished attendance for E & H versus W & J --- 3000 - 3500. (It was parents' day).  Peace. I am the E & H Dad.

I'm just here to stir up trouble and find out who everyone thinks the best player in the league is so far? Anyone seen any outstanding players from other conferences since we really haven't played each other yet?

My vote for best player that I've seen so far this year is anyone from Augustana with the ball.

Wow smmmtigggger.   a real school?  bowties dont count for anything real bud.  The BC faithful wont be going anywhere after this weekend.  We will support the team no matter what, but after this weekend we will once again be celebrating a win down at Bow Tie University.  Hopefully this time the coaches wont get mad and try to fight our parents though.  BUt i guess thats what a "real school" does.

perhaps you bc fans could learn a thing or two from e h dad and learn to look at things philosophically.  for instance, after you lose to the superior football team--not to mention the more culturally advanced--you can bask in the thoughts of being home for thanksgiving instead of losing yet another postseason football game.  rather than participating in yet another postseason exercise in futility, you can try to score some tickets to salem to see the real football school in the odac bring back a championship.

Outsider14

what is it like to be home for thanksgiving? ;D

oh, and by the way, tom brady is my daddy

is HSC #22 and BC #23?
Not that it is vitally important right now.

Definitely doesn't make sense.  Could be because McDaniel is missing their starting RB and QB and aren't the same team that beat Bridgewater a couple of weeks ago.
