Oneonta charted start Friday at Lancaster Bible PA cancelled. Plays Saturday dh vs. Valley Forge in Chichester PA.

Canton cancels Saturday liftoff at Houghton. Roos open Feb. 27 at Utica SUNY Poly.

Fredonia opens Feb. 25 in dh at Allegheny's Meadville PA field.

Seventeen walks by seven Cortland pitchers helped lead to 12-3 loss to ranked Lynchburg VA Friday night in D3 Showcase outing in Greensboro NC. Result evened RDragons record at 1-1. Lynchburg is 3-1. Cortland issues 10 walks in first four innings and falls behind 6-0. Lynchburg scores five times in the fourth without a hi --mix includes two errors, five walks. Dragons actually hold 9-8 hit advantage. L. Granger homers, A. Carlo 3x3, r. T. Elkins 2h and LP (3.1inn).T. Kaltreide WP (5.1inn).
   Cortland vs. 4-0 Chris Newport VA on Saturday. CN earlier Friday outlasts Marietta OH 21-20 in 10 innings.

Another ugly pitching performance by Cortland in shortened 17-5 loss to Christopher Newport VA in D3 Showcase event in sunny Greensboro NC. Result overshadows RDragons leadoff batter Trey McGowan 5x5, r, 2bh afternoon. Seven inning affair was under predetermined 10-run tourney format. RDragons won via that route Thursday vs. Marietta. Corts windup four-day stay Sunday vs. regarded Denison OH.
  Saturday setback follows Friday loss to ranked Lynchburg VA in which Cortland hurlers walked 17 and hit another batter. Six pitchers have hand in 13 walks most recently, most of those passes early vs. Chris Newport. Five walks and two hits figure in CN five-run second inning.
  Dragons LEAD 4-1 in the opening inning. First four hitters notch 11 of club's 12 hits. McGowan with leadoff double ahead of T. Elkins, T. Gatchalia, N. Smith singles supply hopeful start. Smith drives in two. All downhill thereafter. CN's A. Maxie 5x5 with three doubles. C. Newell WP (5inn, 110p). T. Lynch LP. CSt pitchers toss 208 tosses to the plate.

East coast weather getting in the way of Cortland baseball. Last Sunday game vs. Denison OH in Greensboro NC canceled and 1-2 RDragons upcoming Saturday play at ranked and debuting Rowan NJ on campus of Villanova PA weather casualty. Have Sunday date vs. ranked 4-1 Kean NJ in Madison NJ pending.

Cortland wins dramatically 12-10 in first game of Sunday doubleheader with ranked Kean NJ in Madison NJ. Second game winds up in 4-4 tie with Cortland batting in the eighth.
     Danny Jackson's two-out three-run ninth inning double lifts RDragons over the Cougars in the first match in chilly temps of low 40s. RDragons 2-2, Cortland posts three runs in first at-bat, two via newcomers T. Gatchalia and J. Yovino rbi singles. Never trail till Cougars score four with two outs in the eighth for 10-9 lead. The veteran Jackson comes to bat following two walks and hit batter. Kean brings on sixth pitcher. C Jackson quickly delivers blow to left-center, Dragons' 15th hit. CSt sixth hurler -- T. Elkins retires three of four Kean batters in the bottom of the ninth. Redemption for Elkins who yields two hits fueling Kean go-ahead eighth.
  Elkins starts the game at second base and is 3x4, r, bb, 2bh at the plate. Gatchalia, L. Granger, A. Carlo (2bi, 2bh), N. Vendola each with 2h for Dragons. Kean 4-2.

Cortland picks up third win in 10-1 fashion Wednesday over debuting Keuka Wolves at Auburn where nine inning evening tilt ended in 35 degree temps. RDragons score in each of the first six inning for their run total. Cap run-scoring with four-run sixth on three hits, D. Collins and N. Smith with rbi base knocks. J. Yovino in first pitching performance for Cortland after three earlier catching roles. Yovino WP (3inn, 1h, 0r, 1bb, 3k, 46p). Six in relief, each throwing an inning.
    Dragons with 14 hits from 10 batters ...T. McGowan (bi), T. Gatchalian (2r, 2bh), L. Granger (2r, bi), L. Karawowski with two apiece. C. Lynch 2bi. L. Gilbert LP (2inn, h, 2r, 1er, 1bb). Seven pitchers yield seven earned runs.

Cortland (3-4-1) swept Saturday at Johns Hopkins (8-2) when Jays' Damian Brown swats ninth inning one-out two-run home run for 6-4 win. In the opener JH prevails 6-5 on the strength of five-run inning and eighth inning solo homer.
    First Game: RDragons outhit Baltimore hosts 10-7 and lead 1-0 on N. Smith second inning leadoff home run. Reversal in the fourth. Hopkins collects five hits encoute to handful of scores. Dragons narrow deficit with two-run sixth -- L. Karwowski, A. Carlo (3x4) rbi doubles, and run in the eighth -- A. Carlo rbi single. Hopkins with leadoff homer in its eighth, CSt's T. Elkins and Smith hits deliver final run in the ninth. Cortland lefty T. Blake LP (3inn). R. McLaughlin, Z. Zerrilli (3.2inn), A. Knuutila follow.

    Second Game: Cortland starter W. Miller yields but two hits in six innings but exits trailing 2-0. Miller fans eight, six in the first two frames. Dragons tally one in the seventh and take 4-2 lead in the eighth. Smith double to center and Carlo single drive home runs. But resilient Hopkins ties it in its eighth and notches winning walk-off longball in the ninth off C. Hayden, fourth visitor's pitcher.
