Cortland takes two at Troy's RPI where heretofore little-used Jack Lawless and vet Talon Elkins bats play big in both sunny Saturday 9-6, 12-3 wins.
   First Game: RDragons rally for four runs over final two innings. Lawless rbi single and T. Elkins' two-run double to leftcenter provide 8-6 lead in three-run eighth. J. McFerran home run in the ninth. N. Plue homers earlier when Corts seize 4-0 edge thru four innings before fall behind 6-5. Lawless 2x2, bi, bb; Elkins 3x4, 3bi, bb, 2 2bh. T.    Second Game: Lawless starts and finishes decisive seven-run third inning. Lefty reliever C. Durkin wraps things up with six scoreless, 3h, 5k, 70p innings. Meanwhile, Lawless walk opens Cortland big inning. RPI registers two outs but next seven Dragons reach base climaxing with Lawless bases loaded clearing double to right-center. Tuesday Cortland/Oswego series concluding third game moves to Cortland where last week's first two games were relocated. Teams have clinched top two playoff positions. Still tbd although CSt with current upper hand.
    Final third and fourth playoff entries will be settled this week.
    Cortland finishes regular league campaign Fri/Sat dh at Oneonta. Other meaningful games include Tuesday's New Paltz at Oneonta, Wednesday's Oneonta vs. Canton at Cortland Gutchess Field, and Fri/Sat dh Pburgh at NP, Fredonia at Canton. Oswego with makeup if necessary at Fredonia.

Cortland goes overtime Tuesday to edge Oswego 4-3 and clinch first place and top playoff seed. Ten-inning duel once more moved to CSt Wallace Field by unplayable Oswego grounds. RDragons win series between the pair, 2-1.
    L. Karwowski slides home on high and away wild pitch with deciding run. Leads off top of the 10th with ringing double. Takes third via D. Jackson sac bunt and scores with one out. Relievers Z. Zarrilli and T. Lynch strand Oswego runners in scoring position in 9th and 10th.
    Sterling starting pitching from Dragon C. Hayden (6inn, 5h, 1r, 1er, 1bb, 3k, 73p) and Laker M. Krull (7inn, 5h, 3r, 2er, 1bb, 3k, 87p). Krull and reliever M. Drillings retire 18 straight Dragons. Each side scores one run in the first inning. Cortland lands two in the third on scratch hit and error. Oswego counters in the seventh on R. Logan Karwowski homers in the ninth inning to spark RDragons to Friday 6-4 win at Oneonta. Homestanding RDragons nearly spoil sparkling CSt pitcher W. Miller performance. Miller tosses six innings of no-hit ball. Southpaw yields OSt S. Clinton single to center starting the seventh. Exits with 7inn, 1h, 3bb, 12k, 96p line and 4-0 lead.
    Four Cortland relief pitchers later, Oneonta pulls even at 4-4 on two hit batters and four hits in eighth inning comeback. Clinton double scores two, groundout one and Z. Rowe single ties it. R. McLaughlin (WP, 1.2inn, h, 1k, 14p) records final two outs of the inning. Strands Oneonta pair. In Cortland ninth with one out, Karwowski clears leftfield fence on first pitch he sees. T. Oswego in rare home action Saturday comes back for 18-10 rainy win vs. Utica. Second game of scheduled non-loop doublebill canceled.

Fredonia again slips to Canton 11-1 to eliminated Freds of any conference playoff chances.

Next weekend SUNYAC best-of-3 semis pit Oneonta at Cortland, New Paltz at Oswego. Finals following weekend in best-of-3 play for NCAA tourney slot

Sunday finds Cortland and Oneonta idle ....weather conditions force ppd of Saturday doubleheader to Sunday. Although good weather conditions available, Sunday regular season final conference series canceled. Has no bearing on final standings. Also canceled is Tuesday non-league Alfred St. at Cortland clash.
    Top seed Cortland and fourth seed Oneonta clash in best-of-3 SUNYAC semifinal series at Cortland next Friday (single game), and Saturday (dh of needed). Winner advances to league best-of-three series finals following Friday/Saturday.
    Second seed Oswego hosts third seed New Paltz in semis.

Cortland hosting Oneonta Friday and Saturday in best-of-three playoff semifinal, but New Paltz at Oswego semi series moves to Saturday/Sunday.
    New Paltz on Wednesday wins 4-2 road game at Western Connecticut where Hawks use five pitchers including one-inning starter Xavier Zykoff. Latter on national D3 Team of the Week for April 21 seven-inning 13-1 no-hit decisioning of Oneonta.

    Cortland returns to weekly D3 media Top 25 poll at No. 25. RDragons also ascend to 27 in ABCA coaches Top 30 weekly poll. Russell Sage (29-5) of Albany 28th in ABCA poll and among D3 mentions. St. John Fisher (25-9) also 'mention' on coaches' poll
