Here's your annual reminder the NESCAC's lack of double round-robin scheduling is a travesty.

It was a weekend of first visits for The Belt^TM when Wesleyan took It^TM first to Tufts, and then to Connecticut College. This is Conn College's first time ever holding The Belt^TM, and it's too bad they won't get any home defenses.

Of the remaining teams on the Camels' schedule, Hamilton held The Belt^TM during the 2017-18 season but did not play a home game as holder; Amherst has seven successful home defenses; and the trip to Bates would be yet another first for The Belt^TM.

I've gotten to add a bunch of new schools to the map this season. I suppose this is what happens when The Belt^TM spent so much time out this direction in recent years and is now spending time out east.

Mammoths reclaim The Belt^TM for the first time since also grabbing that other, lesser, wood-and-metal object in 2013.

They have two regular season tilts left, at Middlebury and Williams next week.

NESCAC only takes 8 for its tournament.  Neither Middlebury or Williams can reach the 8th seed.

If Middlebury takes possession of The Belt^TM on Friday, they face Hamilton in their finale who also cannot make the tournament. So either Amherst takes It^TM to the NESCAC tournament or The Scenario^TM happens.
