Usually, if the Scranton women are on the road on Wednesday, then the men are home.
Saturday has always been the double-header day.

PS.
Still no love sent the Royals way in this week's Top 25.

Are the schools still on break?  They might do midweek double headers when there's no class to interfere with?

Scranton is in intersession break so that might be a big factor in making it a doubleheader. They did play 1 midweek doubleheader with Wilkes last season but that involved considerably less travel time.
If the Royals win the 2 road games(Etown & Susquehanna) this week, then they should get top 25 votes next week.

They might get some votes, but I still don't think I'd consider them.  Elizabethtown would be the best win on the schedule and it's not great.  Stevens is the only other one that would even catch my attention and they're not really in the top half of D3.

If they're 14-1 with a win over Catholic, that's when they start showing up on my radar.

If you had to answer honestly, how many voters see many teams outside of their schools/ conference games?  It isn't a shot at all, just a general curiosity.  I am sure the answer is somewhere between, none, some, or all!

Media voters do quite, quite often, and you can see the discussion on X on a weekly basis. I suspect coaches less so aside from when they are scouting teams, especially in non-conference, but they generally know the strengths of who everyone is playing and so can interpret an out-of-region score far better than the average fan. SID voters I think similarly are not watching games but I try to select SIDs who have worked at more than one school and in more than one region so that they also have some general basis of comparison.

Agree.
Thus far their schedule has been as usual, meh.
The good thing is, at least this years version of the team is winning whereas the past several years their record at this point would be around 6-5 or 5-6.

However, before we get too amped up about our chances this season keep this in mind...
Although the Royals opened the season with a 2 point home win against a not so good Lehman team (57-55), that very same Lehman team was absolutely crushed by Trinity just 3 games later, 101-39.
That's the current difference between what a top D3 team can do & what just another ok team is capable of.

I think holding off on trying to figure the Royals out makes perfect sense.
They'll show you their cards soon enough.

Thanks for the quick response and insight! Interesting to think about each type of voter having a different and unique way of casting their votes! Thanks again

Rebouding and Scoring is up for the Royals this year. Just happy that things are trending in the right direction.

Would think they would then get most of the Etown 45 points of votes in this week's voting. We'll see.

Yes you can also say Scranton beat Ursinus that beat York at York. BUT I AGREE KEEP THEM UNDER THE RADAR VERY YOUNG TEAM.

Augie2020

The most dangerous teams are the ones that get no love and are young ,Usually overlooked! Not saying they are the Dukes of the world! On another note I think it is more Frank then Danzing bringing these athletic players in. I would not mind seeing him elevated to Coach soon.

The Scranton at Elizabethtown weekend to weeknight doubleheader schedule change occurred when Lycoming and Wilkes joined the Landmark. Scranton at Susquehanna moved from a Wednesday single game to a Saturday doubleheader (replacing E-Town). Exception being if either the men's or women's game is part of the Landmark Day at the Palestra - which is the case this year (WBB). Scranton and Lycoming are now Wednesday single games (replacing Susquehanna). Wilkes and Scranton are both Wednesday doubleheaders - due to the proximity of the campuses. It does seem like the Scranton at E-Town Wednesday doubleheader has been moved up in the schedule though (when Scranton is still on semester break).
