Quote from: Tim the Enchanter on January 19, 2026, 01:09:08 PM'92-'93 was my freshman year at the U.  I believe both the men and women were ranked #1 that year in the pre d3hoops.com days.

As for the men:  last week they were 32nd in the voting and are now 14-1 with an 11 game winning streak after the big win against Catholic (and now appararently on Ryan Scott's radar).  ;D

7 of the 8 teams immediately ahead of them (#23-31 in the voting) lost, as did #19 UW Platteville.  #18 UW Eau Claire lost twice this week for their 4th loss in a row.

Is this the week they crack the top 25???

Definitely considered Scranton.  But I haven't been voting for Catholic either, so still not on my ballot.  I'm fairly certain they're on enough ballots to crack the Top 25, though.

Not on your ballot, but at least on your radar screen.  Maybe next week.  ;)

Because of impending weather, Scranton @ Goucher has been advanced to Friday 3 & 5 pm.

Ronk:

You'll have the whole Goucher gym to yourself at 3:00.  ;D

Yes, me, Dave McHugh, and Dean, unless Dean chooses to watch his son's team instead.

Reminds me of COVID when you could buy a replica of yourself and put it in the stands..

Way more likely to find Dave doing PA at Towson or Navy these days.

Maybe if Klingman had his team play as hard as they do against Scranton he would have a couple more wins,, Seriously !!!! smh.

By the way nice comeback Royals. Down 2 guys that give you alot of minutes and points this was a tough win. Not sure how long  ( Ruisi and Roth )will be out but it shows that it truly hurts the team( Just look at Wilkes). Funny at the end  of game the play by play gentleman ( The guy is great announcing the game ) said this was Gouchers best game in a long time,I agree it was Scranton of course that is why I said that statement before. Take the W survive and move on ...

Ronk-- what was the reason why Scranton vs Goucher moved their game up today and Lycoming and Catholic are playing tomorrow? Who makes that decision the Landmark ???

NEPAFAN

they should be able to beat the weather and get back to PA in time.

Need to watch the replay of today's game, but way to pull out a win from why look liked a replay of Weds night.

I imagine that the individual schools make the change. Danzig told me tonight that on one past trip back from Catholic the team had to get off of I-81 and stay overnight in a motel. That probably influenced him to ask Justin Klingman to advance the game day.

A barn-burner @ Goucher tonight with the reversal of fortunes in the 2nd half resembling the same against Catholic a week ago. Brendan Carr regained his shooting touch in the 2nd half(4-5 3-pters) and rebounded well as the 2nd biggest Royal for a lot of the game. Major contribution from PJ Kellachan with a lot of effort to get 5 offensive rebs.
Sammy Tornabene in foul trouble again and eventually fouled out(including a technical foul) but shot well in his limited playing time. Royals were plagued again by fouling a 3-pt shooter late in the OT similar to that w 42 secs remaining in the Catholic game.
Ruisi and Roth missed their 2nd game in a row; Nick hopes to return next week but Roth will be out indefinitely.
By winning their 8th conference game, the Royals clinched a spot in the conference playoffs.

What happened to Roth and what was the T for???

ronk

Roth has a concussion and Sammy complained about a foul that he had just been called for.
