Talking about Coaching. I never seen a Coach like Frank Marcinek from Susquehanna do so much better with less, then Danzing does.

Frank played Danzig like a stradivarius in game 3 of the series.

Frank the Magician does it again.

Dragging his team into the playoffs as the 6th. seed then pulling one upset after another on the road to win the Landmark.

Well done River Hawks.

A collection will be taken at the conclusion of the season to send Danzig to any & all of Coach M's basketball clinics this summer.

Please give generously.  ;D

I second your thoughts Saratoga. Usually great coaches get it done in the playoffs and Frank shows it again this year. That team 13-12 6th seed went into Scranton, Drew and Wilkes and beat all 3 to win the Landmark while we lost our last 3 at the U. It looked great early in the year  for the UofS men especially beating Catholic, Etown at Etown , Beating Susquehanna twice but the one that really counted they never finished and that was the difference between a team run by a Coach like Frank and a team Coached by Danzing. WELL CONGRATS TO SUSQUEHANNA AND GOOD LUCK IN THE TOURNAMENT AND ALSO I THINK CATHOLIC IS IN GOOD LUCK TO THEM ALSO.

Quote from: CardsFan on February 26, 2026, 10:06:43 PMA quick word of praise for Wilkes. They really do it with only five guys but those 5 know exactly what they are supposed to do. They just keep running their stuff. They were worthy winners tonight. Should be an interesting game Saturday.

I think the lack of depth caught up to Wilkes last night. The starters played all but 20 minutes while Susquehanna had 63 bench minutes. They had no legs the last 5 minutes. One more bench player they trusted and it probably is a different story.

Hard to believe that Susquehanna's season was saved by a 30 foot buzzer beater against Catholic. That shot doesn't drop and Moravian gets the 6th seed. A couple of factors played into the season record for the River Hawks. Mario Castro-Sanchez getting hurt in Puerto Rico caused a ripple effect in the rotation. He missed most of January and Coach Marcinek struggled to find the right rotation with some really bad losses the result. He figured it out with about 5 games to go. Another big factor is the emergence of freshmen KJ Carson and Mikey Cumbo (D2 transfer). But once he figured out the rotation Susquehanna beat the #1, #2, #3 and #4 seeds in the Landmark, with three of those coming on the road.

Congrats on the late-season success; they earned it. I was there when you lost the conference final a few years ago @ Catholic; the Lady Royals were playing there as half of that doubleheader final.

I went back and watched the last 5 minutes of last night's game. After Wilkes went up 64-53, they couldn't get any stops. I think Susquehanna got points on at least their next seven possessions. Maybe the third game in a week caught up to Wilkes. The River Hawks scored 23 points in the final 5 minutes.

It's been an incredible month for Susquehanna: JVW's buzzer-beater three to send the game against Catholic to overtime. Total chaos in the final 10 seconds of overtime that leads to KJ Carson's buzzer-beater layup. Moravian losing to Juniata on the final day of the season.

Good luck to Susquehanna in the NCAA Tournament. It's always nice to get multiple teams in.
