Just hope Jenna Sloan is okay. If not it will be a freshman stepping in or do you go with Bennett, Gorski,Kranson,Romanowski, Lamanna or which we saw at Etown  Talutto or Raguso Kranson,Gorski,Romanowski,Lamanna. That is what is so great when you have depth but I hope it was just a cramp and Jenna is okay and ready to go

Not a cramp, but believed to be a condition she's been playing through all season. Hopefully, the extra day off will allow Jenna to play. Otherwise, probably Talutto to start and Raguso, Francione, and/or Stoupakis to join the rotation.

I replayed the game and I think it was a cramp or a pulled muscle. Never hit any player it was on a move guarding I think mumert.

Any of you heading to Philly for Sunday's game?
If you are, the UofS is sponsoring a pre-game reception beginning at noon at Smokey Joe's right near the Penn campus.
For 25.00 you get an open bar & appetizers.
Enjoy!

Really nice win by the Lady Royals against a good Susquehanna team this afternoon at the Palestra.
Great game to watch...I guess that would be especially true if you are a Scranton fan.  ;)

Just watched the first half of Moravian women vs. Lycoming & those schools have set women's basketball back 50 years.
Absolutely brutal.
If turnovers were points, it would be 40-37 at the half.
Instead, its 17-16.

I saw The Palestra today in person for the first time. Still an impressive structure considering that it opened back in 1927. The arena has certainly contributed a great deal to NCAA basketball history. The Palestra reminded me of the Hershey Arena, which I found out opened in 1936. Pre-game reception at Smokey Joe's was well attended with alumni, parents, fans, and a few former Lady Royals. Current Lady Royals displayed their expected team defense and balanced scoring (5 players in double figures). Great trip down and back in a day, except for the Eagles loss. The 49ers won just as I was pulling into my driveway.

There was a really nice article written about the Palestra several years ago in the NY Times.
It spoke of all the little secretive stairways behind the walls & how the administration was torn between keeping it in its historical condition vs. remodeling.
The architectural firm for the Palestra also designed Cameron Indoor Stadium at Duke as well as numerous other buildings on the Blue Devil campus.

Lady Royals remain # 2 again in this weeks poll but they have lost 3 first place votes back to NYU since Week 4.
And finally, somewhere in Wisconsin a lone holdout refuses to budge on their belief that the real # 1 team is Oshkosh...by gosh.  ;D
