The funny thing is as a Royal fan I have seen gymnasiums all over this country from California to Vegas to Holland to Puerto Rico to New Brunswick to Johns Hopkins from Daytona to Nashville from St Louis to NYU  To Upsala to Wooster..I have followed this team( Royals and Lady Royals) Men and Women going on 46 years and im just a fan paid for by me. That is loyal well not to the men so much the last 5 years. I'm just  Saying Susquehanna deserves to be in before alot of other teams.

Quote from: saratoga on February 27, 2026, 08:27:10 PMJust watched the SUNY New Paltz vs. SUNY Plattsburgh game.
What an ending!
Plattsburgh scores to go up 1 with about 16 seconds left.
New Paltz takes a shot with about 4 ticks left & it misses.
A scrum ensues & instead of a jump ball, the ref gives the ball back to New Paltz saying a TO was called.
That's fine but there was no one in possession of the ball at the time.
At any rate, that's the call.
They inbound and throw up a prayer...it misses but guess what, now a foul was called & there is only 0.1 second left in the game.
The New Paltz player calmly makes both to put them up 1 with the aforementioned 0.1 second remaining.
Plattsburgh's coach takes 2 time outs to set up their last play.
A perfect pass, 3 perfect screens & 1 beautiful catch & shoot that clearly goes in before the lights go on.
Plattsburgh celebrates, New Paltz is crushed but the refs have 1 more surprise.
Upon review...they rule the shot left her hand after the buzzer.
I've watched the replay 15 times & every time I see the ball is out of her hand prior to the buzzer.
For any of you that have the ability to check it out, just advance to the final minute of the game & see for yourself.
I'd be interested in knowing if others see the final play the same way.
What a win.
What a loss.
What a bad call.

I see it the way u saw it. She didn't catch the pass(would have needed .3 sec in that case instead of the existing .1), but tapped it with both hands instead of catching it.
That foul with .1 secs left was unfortunate but the defender's foot collided with the airborne shooter's foot before returning to the ground so that was the proper call.

Another fantastic season by the Lady Royals.
Their 11th. straight conference championship earned today by crushing E-town.

Congrat's to everyone associated with the team.
Still hoping the Susquehanna kids get in. ;)

Scott and Riley had a youtube show this afternoon discussing AQs/seeding/hosting/bracketing

My look: If chalk holds, Scranton as the 5th seed overall would probably play @ 4th seed Johns Hopkins in the Elite 8 game and the winner faces NYU in a Final 4 semi. Probably need both JHU and W&L to lose tomorrow to move up to the 3rd seed and avoid NYU til the final.

Congratulations to the Lady Royals on winning the Landmark for the 11th consecutive year in a row .. Also Congrats to Katie Gorski on her double/double 18pts 10 rebounds amd MVP of the tournament Kaci Kranson on her double /double 26 pts 10 rebounds. Also Kaeli Romanowski on Thursday for breaking her previous record of 99 steals last year to breaking it this year 100+ steals. Kaci Kranson I think is ten points away from moving into 2nd place in points . She will take over my all time favorite player Taryn Mellody and Kaci is my second favorite all time ...GOOD LUCK LADIES LETS GO

when do the other landmark members petition to have the lady royals removed?

just a 40 point win in the championship game...

And Jenna Sloan becomes the Landmark career leader in assist/turnover ratio with 4.107, doubling the previous leader with 1.99; Jenna only yesterday reached the required minimum # of assists(225) to qualify.
Similarly, Kaeli becomes the Landmark career leader in steals with 364 over Scranton's Megan Kopecki(331).
 Congrats to both!

Ok number crunchers...
With JHU's loss to Gettysburg this afternoon, does that move Scranton into the top 4 & JHU out?
It certainly should but I could see a statistical anomaly being found like the measure of central tendency being found to deviate from the correlation data characteristics of probability & distribution.  ;)

I'm just glad we are not going to William Patterson ( Which lost today) for the first weekend because we would be bitching because the Men are hosting. One thing about the game of basketball never and I mean never count your chickens before they are hatched.

Thank you for confirming.
Should you cover a Lady Royal playoff game, I've got your first Royal Dog & beverage.  ;D

Well, the JHU loss will mean hosting the 2nd weekend(St Patrick's Day parade) if chalk and geography hold instead of JHU hosting. Would have been great if W&L had lost today also and moved into third spot and on the opposite side of the bracket from NYU.

So Susquehanna is .042 behind Carneige Melon in the latest NPI for the final at large bid. Susquehanna 21-5 Carnegie Melon 15-10 yikes.
