Is it too late to honor Ben at the Carlesimo Golf outing in June?

A year ago, Meredith Mesaris would have been a great call, but Tufts is a good job. Abby Anderson has local ties, DI experience and was the assistant director of recruiting at Pitt before becoming an assistant.

Should have known something was up when Ben wasn't at the AAU tourney on Saturday, only Hannah. This happens every time the Lady Royals are in the Final 4 in Salem - 7 years ago when Trevor left for Bucknell. Unfortunate for the 3 seniors-to-be in the rotation.
Abby Anderson should have strong consideration.

I wouldn't be surprised if she applied, though.  A lot closer to home.  She loves the school.  A lot less competitive conference, better recruiting profile.  There's a lot going for it.  Obviously she has a good job at Tufts, but it's a steep hill to climb, given what she started with.

I knew yesterday's announcement would eventually come, I just thought we had at least another year before Coach O'Brien moved on. I appreciate the contributions Ben made to our WBB program over the past four years. Success creates opportunities. I take pride in the fact that our athletic department hires and develops coaches who warrant the attention of D1 programs. I'm wondering what effect this move will have (if any) on our previously committed recruits.

How true...I think those of us that follow the Lady Royals closely knew this day was near.
All we can do is thank him for doing such a phenomenal job leading these young women & doing it with total class along the way.
Few coaches leave such a positive impact in all the ways he has...we are so much better off by having had him & his staff for the past 4 years.
Thanks Ben & all the very best at Lafayette.
They got a great one.
