I just noticed that UWO has one non-conference game on campus before WIAC play, that's all.

Well then they'll have a clean gym to start the season.

easy come, easy go

The #10  WAHAWKS 10-1, coming off a game in which everything went their way, struggled against Gustavous Adolphus before rallying in the final stanza to eke out a 47-44 win. Trailing by eight to start the 4th quarter the WARHAWKS rallied to tie with just over 4 minutes on a jumper from freshman Brooke Stenkylft. After that free throws preserved the lead. Bri McCurdy led with 11 points. Stenkylft finished with 10.

300 wins for UW Oshkosh's Brad Fischer.  Very impressive.

The first quarter of the WARHAWKS/Pointers game was low scoring and closely contested with multiple ties and lead changes ending with Point up by a pair 11-9.  With the exception of two ties the Pointers maintained a 2-5 point lead throughout the second stanza and led 25-22 when it ended.  The WARHAWKS managed to gain a lead twice in the third quarter but the Pointers responded to regain it each time and held a slim 38-37 lead at the quarter's conclusion. The Pointers maintained the lead through the first couple minutes of the fourth before the WARHAWKS forced a tie, 40-40, and the two teams exchanged the lead six times over the next 3 minutes. Bri McCurdy's three pointer tied the game 48-48 at the 5 minute mark. After Point missed a pair shots Lanie Burks scored on a driving layup giving the WARHAWKS a 50-48 lead that they would build to 8, 56-48, by holding Point scoreless the final 5 minutes.  Brooke Stenklyft led the WARHAWKS with 11 points. Mia Gillis added 10 and McCurdy finished with 9 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals.

I thought the Lady Pointers could defend Berg. Guess I was wrong.

Why don't they play in Quandt?
