For whatever reason the assigner throws two MIAC and one WIAC official together and tries to make it a crew. Makes for a bad mix.

MIAC officials are not great, let's just call it like it is. They are not ready for the Wisconsin style of play. They come over to Oshkosh and Whitewater most years for the first weekend and are inconsistent. MIAC calls it tight and then the WIAC lets stuff go, so then you get inconsistency.

Englund finally hung it up. One big win against Oshkosh this year. Not so good for the rest. It was time.

Looks like some great Sectionals this weekend (except maybe for the Cupcake Invitational at NYU). Chicago/Hope......wait, isn't that a TV show?.....should be a battle. I see Hope eeking one out by about 4. UWO/WashU will be a battle as well. Epic matchup in the post. I think whoever doesn't go for shot fakes will win that battle. Of the games I was able to see, WashU might be at a slight disadvantage in the backcourt. I think it will come down to 2 things: Stay out of foul trouble, and don't give up easy points on inbounds plays. Might seem like an obvious thing, but in the 4 games I was able to watch, WashU got 6-10 easy points per game on inbounds plays. Eliminating that would be a huge thing for UWO. And now to leave early so I can get my parking spot. Maybe I can catch a few episodes of Chicago Hope on demand.

NYU and UWO handle business comfortably at home.

Oh my, where has the time gone! No posts from last weekend? How dare I! But a fun weekend of sectional games where I think UWO started to find a groove. No worries on my end, and my parking spot was waiting for me each day. Today's games should be fun for sure. Not much (free) video I could find on Denison. They are sure handsy on defense. Will be interesting to see if that plays a factor. UWO needs to control the boards for sure. But I think it is a 5 point game either way. And they will shoot. 2000+ shots on the year? Yikes. No wonder their rebounding numbers are high.

And then there will be the other game. Two undefeateds. One hasn't lost since about 1987. Yawn.

WIAC officials aren't much to write home about either.
