OK, so while the ASC has been a bit quiet in the rankings thus far, I see three teams playing well.  Mary Hardin-Baylor is 8-1 on the season and is in first place in the conference.  In the second spot is Hardin-Simmons  at 5-1-3, and third is Mississippi College at 7-1-2.

On Friday afternoon, MHB plays UT-Dallas at 6-2-3 in a match that will obviously effect the standings.

The heavy rains in Abilene last night prompted the re-location of the McMurry-Mississippi College game from the grass surface at Edwards Field to the field turf at Wilford Moore Stadium.

The Choctaws scored in the 85th minute to beat McMurry 1-0.

Wow, no sooner than Hardin-Simmons wins the AQ from Mary Hardin-Baylor, they are scheduled to play yet again for even a bigger prize.  That's the DIII travel effect...

LeTourneau?  How good are these guys?  I had assumed a good year from UMHD and UT-Tyler.

Tate killing McMurry Program?
Word on the street is that McMurry is down to a handful of players after starting last season with 31 players which were brought in by the last coach.  Players can't stand coach Tate and have either quit or transfered.  Sad to see this happen.  Can't see how McMurry could possibly go d2 under this type of leadership.

Hardin-Simmons jumped out to an early lead and, despite being outshot 35-10, held on to tie (soon to be formerly  :-\ ) #1-ranked Trinity (TX), 1-1 after 2OT.    The goal was the first allowed by Trinity this year.

Brennan Goodman scored for HSU in the 38th minute; Josh Adams got the equalizer for TU in the 71st.
