These guys look legit, from Murphy and Wagner at the back to Saruwaka in the middle. Not to mention First-year Charles Desautels leading the NESCAC in goals with 5 through 7 games.

Looks like some games have been rescheduled. WPI at Tufts moved from Saturday the 26th to Friday the 25th (tomorrow) and Babson at Tufts delayed from Sunday the 27th to Monday 28th night game.

Other NESCAC games this weekend appear unaffected.

Middlebury @ Bowdoin on Saturday with Bowdoin picking up momentum and Midd coming off a tie at home to Hamilton.

Amherst @ Williams. Amherst still looking for their first conference win in what will be 4th conference game. An Amherst loss could put them in jeopardy of not even making the conference tourney! How many cards and fouls will we see?

Surprising result:

Tufts 0 - WPI 0

I don't know if weather had an effect, either on the game itself, or in moving the game to Friday and therefore upsetting players' schedules and routines, but the game was at Tufts, WPI came in winless at 0-4-3 and just lost to Trinity (CT) 3-0.  So, a tie here seems to be an upset. It seemed like Tufts dominated offensively (13 corners to 1 for WPI), but it wasn't like Tufts had a barrage of shots (15-6) and the shots on goal were tied 4-4.  Maybe someone saw it live and has a report on it.

I watched the end.  Tufts hit the crossbar in the last minute but WPI could have easily scored in the last 15 minutes.  Lots of season left but Tufts looks very different.

I saw the game. Jett (senior right winger) scored a header but it was unfortunately/wrongly disallowed. Tufts had numerous other chances but was not able to finish. WPI smartly parked the bus. I suspect many of the NESCAC teams will not peak until the final few games of the season. Tufts is no different.

Midd @ Bowdoin showdown: the 2 remaining undefeated teams in NESCAC. Bowdoin on a 3-game streak - all clean sheets - and only 3GA in 6 games. Midd has yet to concede a goal this season in 5 games.

Amherst @ Williams: Amherst really needs a conference W! I expect a hard fought game and several goals if I had to guess.

I guess Conn snuck in a W yesterday 2-0 vs Ham.

For Midd, both Colin Dugan and Keegan Harder went down with injury against Hamilton; Harder appeared to suffer a non-contact knee injury, which appeared to be the more serious of the two.

Have no idea their status—today or going forward—but, along with Will Sawin, those two have been key to Middlebury's offensive production.

Midd with a lot of the ball but scoreless approaching half time. Bowdoin getting some cardio in. Let's see if Midd can avoid back to back conferences ties against lesser opponents.

Heck of a build on Bowdoin #5. Not impacting the game whatsoever but has a big body on him.

Just finished watching some good games, so naturally I have opinions nobody asked for. Here are the key takeaways:

Williams 1 – Amherst 0

Williams executed this game damn near perfectly. Ruehlmann looked good, the defense was solid, and Amherst looked like they were waiting for the game to magically fix itself.

At some point, you expect Amherst to switch something up, but nope — just Serpone and his assistant freaking out on the sideline like they've discovered soccer for the first time.

Serpone, maybe it's time to go get that USSF D License instead of collecting the 10 master's degrees. They teach you the basics of the game. Maybe even sportsmanship. Who knows.

All credit to Williams - they were excellent. Amherst, on the other hand, looks completely lost. A few more slip-ups and this season could be over before Halloween. Time to look in the mirror, Amherst.

And sick game from Darrell too.

Midd 2 – Bowdoin 0

The Panthers continue to look dangerous.

Huge fan of the two towers that come in around the midway point of each half: Horowitz and Dunlop. They create absolute havoc, and Horowitz is a legit threat.

Props to Payne and Cavaceppi Dove too. From what I've seen, those two can send basically any midfield trio into a full spin cycle.

Bowdoin just didn't have enough quality tonight. Honestly, I'm still trying to figure out how they were undefeated coming into this one.

Conn 2 – Hamilton 0

Burke looked completely rejuvenated, and Conn is flying right now.

Big props to Perugini - dude is a magician.

Will be very interesting to see what happens over the next few weeks. The season is starting to get spicy.
