Pretty unimpressive week for anyone in the SAA not named Millsaps this week.

Trinity was up 31-3 at one point but McMurry gets a couple of late TDs against the second string defense to make it look reasonable.  Tiger offense struggled in the air and Franklin continues to have a miserable time throwing the ball (1-8 tonight with an interception).  Welker's not getting anything deep going either.  Defense held McM to negative rushing before all the subs came in. 

Southwestern is down nine at TLU and just turned the ball over with under two minutes to play.

Millsaps is bombing Centenary 57-0 and when you look at how everyone has performed so far may be the team to beat, or at least will have a say about the conference in its last season.

The two differ on LaGrange-Centre and much more noticeably on Southwestern-Schreiner, where Hansen only gives the Mountaineers an 8.5% chance of winning.

Was at Berry LaGrange game - before game started, D2 Shorter (also in Rome, GA), was playing D2 UNC-Pembroke - ran into a familiar face in the stands there.

LaGrange played excellent as they did in the playoff game last year. Berry has lots of fresh meat this year and came out on top.

Must be really nice to have a competitive in-state OOC rivalry

Vikings get a TD to take a 16-10 lead with 47 seconds left, CMU drives to about the 25 with 4 seconds left and a hail mary nearly cost them a win.

Weather delay on The Mountain with the last report being Sewanee up 17-10 on NC Wesleyan with 3:48 left in the 2nd when play was suspended.   On-line stats say play was to resume at 3:15pm CDT but hasn't updated with it being 4pm.

Millsaps drops their first game of the season to Hendrix, 36-27.  Trailing 27-30, they went for it on 4th and 8 from the Warrior 33 with less than 2:00 left and turned it over on downs.  They still had two timeouts, held Hendrix, and got the ball back on their 31 with 0:02 left.  What did they do but call the Mississippi Miracle?  It didn't go so well ...

GOSS, Quez pass short to the right complete for 1 yard to REED, Zayden caught at the MC35 and advanced to the MC32 lateral to TASBY JR., Derrick for -5 yards to the MC27 lateral to GOSS, Quez for -5 yards to the MC22 lateral to REED, Zayden for -1 yard to the MC21 lateral to GOSS, Quez for 4 yards to the MC25 lateral to DATES, Cornelious for -8 yards to the MC17 lateral to REED, Zayden for 0 yards to the MC17 lateral to JOHNSON, Sean for -17 yards, JOHNSON, Sean fumbled at MC23 , recovered by HC WOODS, Dentravious at the MC22, returned 22 yards to the MC0, TOUCHDOWN HC, clock 00:01 (Scoring play confirmed).

Ditto. 

Horn went out with what looked like a leg injury, possibly a hamstring or tendon.  He went to the tent for a while, came out but did not return. Being able to jam the ball down the opponent's throats (with a couple of well-timed and -executed fake punts) is nice but need to be able to open it up in the air.  TU ran off the last 9:36 totally on the ground tonight.
