Quote from: D3Navy on Yesterday at 05:49:59 PMJust watched it.  What prompted this ridiculous display?  Shameful, mainly on a coach that allows this type of culture to exist in a program.

There was a bunch of barking at each other throughout the game.

That and as MCScots2013 said, there has been some of that happening in road rivalry games recently.  There's rivalry and then there is just stupid.   That line got crossed and I am just glad no one got hurt.

That said, I think Trinity's offense will put up serious numbers against Rhodes next week as Rhodes secondary is even weaker than ours.    Coach Freitag and his staff had a bunch of recruits on campus today and it was interesting to see how much recruiting our guys have been doing in the Atlanta area.

The Third Division

I think part of Rhodes' hype is after firing their last head coach they went on to win their first 2 of the season so their ego likely is suddenly inflated.

I was in the middle of it all and it was the closest I've seen a scuffle get into a fight this year.

Trinity will be limping into the playoffs. Offensive inconsistencies continue to limit this team's upside. As noted by D3Navy, Scannell is incredible. Going from all American Caleb Harmel to TJ Scannell at LB has been an absolute treat.

Total agreement with everything said here.  Good news for Tiger fans is the number of graduating seniors/grads is very small and while Scannell, Gantt and Njoku will be missed there is an awful lot left in the cupboard for next year.  Tavarez will be too if he doesn't take advantage of his remaining year of eligibility.

If Trinity wins next week they should get a home game (projected NPI around 27th).  If UMHB doesn't get past HSU they will be somewhere around 33rd.  With Trinity having played TLU already (and with a win TLU ends up 32nd in this scenario) it seems possible the Cru would be the visitors and someone gets flown into Seguin to play the Bulldogs.  Even if you flip UMHB and TLU the "no replays in round 1" probably sends UMHB to San Antonio.

If UMHB wins ... they end up around 18 (bye), HSU 24 (bye), Trinity 28, TLU 33.  If the NCAA really plays by the rules both HSU and UMHB should have a bye in which case you send TLU to Trinity to save the flight (though one would be required in the next round).  If HSU drops to 25 (the margin between them and the most likely 25th, Chapman is tiny [0.05]) then since a flight would be required regardless it all depends on how much stock the NCAA puts into "no first round replay" - you could send TLU to HSU and fly someone to Trinity, or send Trinity to HSU and fly TLU out.  Neither solution is fair; TLU doesn't deserve to have to play the best team in the first round, and Trinity doesn't deserve to travel if they end up 28th.
