Update. Game pushed back to 2 @ Olaf tomorrow.

GarbageGoals33

Sorry, I meant Sophomore season for Rosenthal.

Was last year that spectacular for him?  In conference play he had 8 goals and 5 assists which looks great on paper.  He scored goals vs. Saint Marys (3), Mac (2), Concordia (2), and Bethel (1).  Brown and McGarrity score against everyone, not just the perennial basement dwellers.

Knights vs. Oles postponed?  Annoying.  Couldn't CarlEton explain to St. Olaf the proper green way to remove the snow?  If the sun doesn't melt the snow today you would think the heat from the malt-o-meal plant in town would do the trick.

As if their joke of a field could get any worse...THEY HAVE NO GRASS TO PLAY ON!! The one thing you need on a soccer field (preferably a flat field, something they still can't manage) and they can't dot it. What clowns...

GarbageGoals33

Do they intend on hosting the game on their primary game field?

It is going to take a lot of Chia seeds in order for their to be a playable pitch tomorrow I can imagine.

CH CH CH CHIA!

I bet they end up moving the match to another site...

Olaf's field is garbage to begin with.

KnightRider23

I was able to drive over there and check out the field. Their field is a joke as it is, but there is no way this game should/can be played tomorrow. Standing water on almost 1/2 the field, and they used a roller to get out the snow but they ended up ripping up even more grass.

GG, it seems like they want to have Olaf host at all costs. But when you can't put together a playable field where player safety/logistics can be enormously screwed up, it' just becomes a stain on the program/school. Why not host it at Mac/UST/any other turf field in the cities?

GarbageGoals33

Would it be possible to play at a neutral field in Northfield? Northfield High School, etc.

Will we witness our first ever MIAC forfeit because St. Olaf cannot pony up a playable field?

KnightRider23

Rumor has it that Carleton wanted to use Shattuck-St. Mary's and their turf field/or any other playable field in the cities, but Olaf probably wanted the home game. Real shame...

I think Northfield HS has grass for both football and soccer but I'm not certain. My Carleton friends say Bell looks good, but obviously that wouldn't be feasible. A forfeit is probably deserved at this point...

GAC down 2-1 to SJU.  GAC controlling the game but giving up two crap goals on crosses.  Terrible defending by GAC on those two occassions.  This could be a very high scoring game...

Upset brewing at Gustavus? Yikes. Could really throw things for a loop if they can't come back in the second. Interesting halftime result to say the least.

I would think GAC is in the tournament even if they lose.

What a gross first half though... Poor defending by GAC on both goals.  Also, GAC wasted a couple of really solid opportunities.

Really sloppy match BUT It's really nice that GAC moved the camera to half. Great view/camera. Almost getting on Carleton's level  ;D

KICKIN95

Nice Flop on the push, he should have gotten a YC for that acting job!

GAC is in trouble... They are playing sloppy soccer down to SJU's level.  I am not liking this at all...

???

BradleyFan001

Bad result for Gac. Did SJU even try to play soccer in the second half?  Sloppy soccer benefited SJU

Did the rankings get to the players heads? It's not like they haven't been there before. Sloppy stuff
