Exceptionally poor game from SLU. Injuries are piling up and hurting them. Missed their right wing back dearly and then a center back went off early in the second half. RPI wanted to take down SLU for their first loss and SLU looked content to play for a tie. Have to get healthy.

RPI won't be winning any sportsmanship awards anytime soon. Worst team I've seen this year in that regard by far. RPI goalie is going to cost his team at some point.  Haven't seen a player act that way at any point this season.

Have to agree with you.  Notan overly great performance for SLU. Injuries are really starting to hurt this team and how they play. It appeared that both teams just wanted a tie.

Beg to differ stlaw. Yellow cards: SLU 3 RPI 0. Sounds like a bit of sour grapes. SLU by far the better team in 1H, RPI better team in 2H. St. Lawrence is suspect in the back.

Were you at the game? Cards had nothing to do with it.

Wow Bard wins another, what a turn around for that program. They are very much in play for a playoff spot now.

If SLU gets a result against Union next week they are the top seed.  There's a scenario where RPI and SLU end up tied on points and then the tie breaker is comparing results from the top down since there is no head to head tie breaker between the two teams. SLU can't finish any lower than 2nd. If RPI doesn't win midweek against Vassar then SLU is the top seed.  Lots of moving parts still in play, yet another exciting finish to the season in store.

1:1 hobart/union. Hobart again had 75+% possession but couldn't put it away.

Refs let too much slide and lost control at the end with union pulling two redcards at the end including punching a hobart player in the nuts.

Union players then got into it with the refs after the whistle.  Ugly.

I was at the RPI match. Several reckless fouls from SLU. Fouls: SLU 14 RPI 10. Second half was Hack-an-Engineer. Not sure what changed for SLU, but they weren't good. Maybe tired?

I thought the ref let a lot go for both teams but this ref has done some SLU games before and it appears he lets a lot go. I was not at the game but can only see from video. IMO SLU dominated the 1st half in which the SLU goalie did not have to do much. In the 2nd half RPI might have gotten the better of SLU but maybe 1-2 dangerous chances. I don't know if was windy or being tired but on video it looked like both teams was running in slow motion or like they were in quick sand

If you were at the game then you saw and heard exactly what I saw and heard on the sidelines. I've been to a lot of games, am always objective, and that was one of the poorest sideline displays I've seen in quite some time.  Everyone else in every game have been perfectly fine.   It's all independent of the result of which RPI played well and were deserving of a tie and perhaps unlucky not to win. SLU has a bug going through their team right now, which partially explains some of it, but they were on the back foot in the 2nd half due to RPI's pressure. RPI is also tied for 2nd in the league and have earned that spot, they are a good team.

Yes, this was ugly at the end . Union was celebrating a bit early after scoring the go ahead with about 6 minutes remaining. Obvious foul to set up the game timing penalty kick by Hobart. It felt like a win after the successful penalty kick. Exciting ending. Hobart was the better half but putting games away and not settling for ties is their weakness. Concerned for a tournament in Canton where Hobart goal scorers seem to leave it on the bus on the drive up.

Vassar wins the regular season LL title for SLU.  Vassar has two goals, win the LL tournament and make the dance, and keep alive the longest streak of winning seasons in the league.  If the team that beat Montclair is the team that's playing now they have a shot.  If the team that got blown out by RIT shows up they will be done.

Welcome to Sandy.  The illness bug that has ran through SLU has hopefully burned out, but with the clinching of the top seed there's still no room for complacency.  Playoff Sandy MacAllister field is a beast of its own, so well done to this SLU squad for doing what needed to be done to seize home field advantage throughout.

SLU deserves major props for turning it around after last year.  So why are they being totally dissed by the Massey Rankings while Hobart gets more love?

SLU's power ranking is still better than Hobart's.  And while Massey claims that halfway through a season that rankings aren't affected by the previous seasons results, they very much are.
